I have no idea what happened. I FTP’d into my site, removed the tec support plug in. Updated the calendar plugins.. only the /events slug stopped working though the category slugs did. I re enabled the support plug in and the /events restarted and all problems went away. Incredibly odd.

    Problem resolved.

    Hi,

Everything on my front end IS displaying correctly. And those events do
have different schedules. In order to make the. Display correctly on the
extra instances I must adjust the time.

    And yes, eastern time zone.

    Hi

I appreciate your response. However I have great issues with this.

I was a customer of Avada prior to the integration of The Events Calendar.
I was a customer of the Pro Version of TEC prior to it being integrated to the Avada Theme.

Since apparently there is now some kind of agreement between the two of you, you’ve allowed Avada to have this control over the display of the calendar. PRIOR to this arrangement, my calendar functioned and displayed as it was when I purchased it. I have been a user and customer of YOURS in regards to TEC. However, this has now caused the layout to change. And I am not a themer nor am I going to take the time to try to find out what they did, at my expense, to un-do what apparently has been allowed to take place.

It would make sense to me that for you to allow them to include your software, there should be a switch in the system that allows me to retain my own theming, in this case the standard Modern Tribe layout. When I select that in the settings, Avada is ignoring that.

Your post says that custom themes are outside your scope, to which I agree. However, this isn’t custom. You allowed or are condoning a 3rd party entity to break the software I paid you for because of some arrangement. If I were involved in this deal I would have required they ensure that what users have already had in place is not altered.

If you ask me, this is a VERY bad business decisions. This change has essentially BROKE what I already had working. And the solution is for me to pay to have this resolved.

    NOT acceptable.

So please tell me, AS PART OF MY SUPPORT, how do I undo what you allowed Avada to do?

I would like a resolution to this. I will also look through the license agreement to see if there is any culpability on this. My transaction for this calendar has ALWAYS been between you and I.. not Avada.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

YES – that answers my question perfectly. It’s exactly what I was looking and hoping for. I made the right choice using this solution over a different one. I am part of a franchise but I was looking to provide more robust user experiences in my own site over that of what my corporate site can offer. I’ve so far been able to reproduce all of our main core functions, and many many more. This is a big help.

    Thanks again!

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m sorry for not getting back to you as well as I’ve been slammed here. I will say that yes it is now working correctly. In the display page, I thought I had tried all the options but setting it to Default Events Page allowed it to function correctly. When setting it to default page, 100% width, or blank page it would in fact change the width of the calendar view only once switching to a different view. But it’s working correctly as is.

One question, not sure if it’s able to be asked here – but is it possible to embed just the working calendar into a webpage. I guess I’m wondering if it can be dropped into a page like a widget. What I’m trying to get it to do is be on the home page, on a 2/3 – 1/3 split page with events down the larger 2/3rd size and have my site widgets on the left. In short, can the main calender be inserted with out any of the site’s theme formatting?

    Thanks. 🙂
