so why did I need this ??? for information

if an email does not get delivered to the client (or they lose their email) there appears to be no way to re send them their tickets. In woocommerce you can resend order confirmation, but this does not resend the tickets.

It is therefore important that we have a copy so we can resend tot he client if needed.

Might be worth putting this in the development roadmap

    HI, thanks for this,

the snippet I included works well for getting copies of the emails sent to client that confirms their order (which is sent via woocommerce email settings). But it does not give me a copy of the actual tickets that are sent for the event that the client sees.

I would like to be able to get a copy of the ticket email that the client gets. But I do not want the client to see we have been copied in on the email. So a BCC version would work well.

Does the snippet you link to on gitgub provide for this? or does it only work for RSVP emails?

Hi , the plugin I am using is the official one from Woo called Product add-ons

    Product Add-Ons

I like this plugin because it allows you to use Categories to assign a Global Product Add-on. The plugin can find the category ‘Tickets’ but cannot find any of the categories I have added to the courses e.f Full Day Courses, Half Day Courses. The fact it finds ‘tickets’ though is great because I need a solution I can apply globally. It is too much work to expect my client to always remember to link products when creating a new course.

What is interesting is that when I add a global product add on to the category ‘tickets’ and then try and see the event. I cannot see the add-on, however when I try and book the event, it wont allow me to go to checkout and I get a message that tells me that I have not entered my choices for the ‘add-on’. So the checkout process is expecting an input from the user, even though the user cannot see the fields to fill out.

So what am I trying to achieve? My client sells Gift Certificates which customers can then send to their friends. On checkout we want to be able to give the purchaser the option to have a Gift Certificate posted to their address which allows the receiver access to the course. This would then ensure the ticket qty is adjusted, but my client gets a message in the order that they must send a certificate in the post (the Gift Certificate attracts a postal charge btw)

I can sell Gift Certificates on the site and use a form to get them to set out the details. However, the ticket qtys will not then be adjusted automatically and we run the risk of the customer adding the wrong course and date into the form.

So if Tickets worked well with Product Add-on , then I could achieve all this AND potentially easily sell other products such as Chefs hats, Aprons, Books all within the ticketing booking page.

Hi, I updated all the plugins on a staging site and I am getting the same issue of error logs.

WPEngine have analysed the logs and tell me they are coming from the plugin that disable the QR codes. It is clearly not a major issue. However, it would be good not to have these in the log so it generate so many that it potentially masks seeing any logs that we should worry about.

whatdayknow… fixed it !!!! … many thanks for that info Patti….. once I read the isotope article.. it made me think about the container sizes.. now I had created a style to fix the height of the containers.. BUT one of the images on the first row of the grid had been added in by my client at 3px greater than the specification I had given her i.e 300×200 and she had sized the image 303×200…. so this event in the primary row created the problem. I changed the image .. and presto… all in order now…..

where can I send the flowers???

thanks Patti, that makes sense. It would just have been nice to know this before I spent so much time styling it into a structured grid mode which is what the client wanted. I too have explained the situation to them and we will default to list view… it would have saved me huge amounts of time to be told this rather than just a standard ‘ it must be your theme’.

Thanks Patti, that is interesting. So they are ignoring the fact that users of events websites are using a different viewing logic that anyone who uses Pinterest, who are searching for ‘image impact’ as opposed to ‘which events are on and when are they on?’ and will therefore want to read from left to right.

    Did you find a solution??
