ParticipantWeird. I’m able to login/connect, but I’m not seeing any folders. Do I need additional permissions?
Casey
ParticipantJohn,
Can you try switching your Events page template over to the ‘Default Page Template’ (screnshot) to see if that fixes the issue? Just go to Events->Settings->Display to change this and let me know if that resolves the problem. Thanks!
Casey
ParticipantSean,
Have you performed any template overrides? I suspect this issue has something to do with an invalid template file, so could you send me a private reply and give me FTP access in order to investigate further? Thanks!Casey
Participantelmalak,
Thanks for confirming that! As I said before, we’ll definitely go above and beyond to help you with this request, just note that we don’t normally offer support for customizations. I’ve opened a ticket with one of our developers to look into a way to disable wptexturize() for the front-end WYSIWYG editor.I’ll post a reply here when I hear back from him, so please stay tuned and I’ll let you know when I have more information.
Thanks!

ParticipantSean,
So, when you switch the permalinks back to your custom permalinks, the issue still persists? I just tried changing the permalinks in my local instance to your custom permalink structure (/%category%/%postname%/) and everything worked fine. Sometimes the permalinks get messed up, so just try switching back to your custom permalinks and see if it works now. Thanks!

Participantelmalak,
We’ll definitely try to go above and beyond for you on this one, but before we do, I noticed that the user account you’re using to post in the Community forum doesn’t currently have a Community License associated with it. Is there another user account that was used to purchase this add-on? If so, just post a reply with that account here so we can continue to provide you support for the Community add-on.So sorry for the formality as I’m sure this is unintentional, but we have to make sure we’re only providing support for those with active licenses.
Thanks so much for understanding!

ParticipantSean,
Take a look at our themer’s guide to give you an idea about how the Events Calendar and Community templating system work.As far as adding required fields, you should be able to add something like this to your theme’s functions.php file to customize the fields that are required: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/8407978
Then you can customize the error message by pasting this code into your theme’s functions.php file and modifying the HTML that gets displayed: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/8408079
That should really be it, but let me know if you have further questions.
Thanks!

Participantwckg,
Thanks for reaching out! So sorry to hear you’re having these issues, but hopefully I can help you out here. When I view the page source, I’m noticing that the correct HTML is being outputted, but it looks like the styling is being removed by your theme’s stylesheet. Could you share the code you’re using to output this HTML with me? You’ll probably want to use a site like Pastebin or Gist, so that everything comes across correctly.
Could you paste your code into one of those sites and then share the link with me, so I can take a closer look?
Thanks!
Casey
Participantoneyellowtree,
Thanks for reaching out, and great to hear that you were able to find the answer! Since it looks like you’re all set here, I’m going to go ahead and close this thread out. Feel free to start a new thread if you have further questions.By the way, if you have a minute or two, we would love it if you’d write a few words for us here: http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/the-events-calendar?filter=5
Thanks in advance. 🙂
Cheers,
CaseyCasey
ParticipantSean,
Could you try resetting your Permalinks to see if that helps to solve the issue? Just do the following:- Go to WordPress Settings->Permalinks
- Make sure you have any option checked except for the ‘Default’
- Click ‘Save Changes’
Give that a shot and let me know if the problem persists. Thanks!
Casey
Participantmarkappeal,
I guess I’m still confused. Could you help me understand your setup a bit more? If ‘Anyone can register’ is turned off in your WP Settings, why would you need a captcha and manual admin approval of registrations?Casey
ParticipantElmalak,
I also forgot to mention that we have a list of external developers that we recommend for making complex customizations like these. If you’re interested, I’d be happy to send that your way. Just let me know!Cheers,
CaseyCasey
Participantelmalak,
Unfortunately since this is advanced functionality that the add-on was not designed for, we can’t really provide step-by-step support for a customization like this. I’m not very familiar with how wp_editor() works, but you can review the documentation here: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_editorGood luck and hope that helps you get started! Thanks!

ParticipantSean,
That’s really strange. I’m not able to duplicate this in my environment, event with the 2011 theme installed. Can you try another default theme like 2013 and let me know if you experience the same results?Casey
ParticipantJordan,
So, are you saying that you’re all set here? If so, then I’ll go ahead and close this one out. Also, would you mind posting your other question in the EC Pro forum so one of our experts who might be more familiar with your issue can help you? Thanks!
