ParticipantCan you try deactivating all other plugins to see if that resolves the issue? If so, then try reactivating them one-by-one to determine if another plugin is the culprit. Give that a try and let me know what you discover.
If that doesn’t fix the issue, then I think we’ve just about got it narrowed down to server performance issues and we can investigate further. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantOk, last troubleshooting step to eliminate all other variables… Could you try temporarily switching to the default 2013 theme to see if this fixes things? Sometimes third-party themes can register their own WordPress custom post types, and conflict with the plugin.
Give that a shot, and let me know if I need to investigate further. Thanks! 🙂

Participantvisualsplash,
Yes, we can definitely hide the widget only on the Community Event Submission page, and the ‘My Events’ listing page. To do this, just paste the following snippet into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/9666551Give that shot and let me know if it does the trick. Thanks! 🙂

Participantvisualsplash,
Thanks for reaching out! 🙂 Sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. If you’re referring to the errors displaying in the sidebar widget, then I’m definitely seeing that on my end. Unfortunately, since the plugin is modifying the WordPress query, some third-party widgets can have conflicts. Your best bet would be to do one of the following:- Disable/hide the offending widget on the Community Event Pages
- Use a full-width page template on the Community Events Pages
I’d be happy to give you some instructions for either option. Just let me know which route you’d prefer. Thanks! 🙂

Participantfoxxr,
I’m definitely sorry for the inconvenience this has caused, and thanks for being patient. I was able to login to your site and temporarily deactivate your third-party theme, and activate the default 2013 theme. After doing this, the Events Menu Option displayed correctly (screenshot). While I wish I could say that the plugin seamlessly integrates with every theme out there, the reality is that custom themes have so many settings/options that it would be nearly impossible for us to account for all of those. As such, I would suggest that you reach out to the developer of your theme and have them investigate this issue further, since it looks like their custom Menu options are overriding the Events Calendar menu.
Our documentation is available if they need more detailed information about how the plugin works, and we’d also be happy to help answer further questions they might have while investigating why their theme is conflicting in this way.
Hopefully that helps, but let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! 🙂

ParticipantJustine,
Thanks for getting in touch and hello again! 😀 I’d be happy to help you out here. If you go to Events->Settings->Display, you’ll notice there’s an option to add HTML content before your Events content (screenshot). This field will allow you to display any HTML content at the top of your Events pages. So, you should be able to add the text you’re wanting there, but let me know if you have further questions. Thanks again! 🙂

Participantphillydst,
Thanks for getting in touch! Sorry to hear you’re having trouble here, but hopefully I can help. Can you try resetting your WordPress permalinks? To do this just go to Settings->Permalinks and select any option besides the Default Permalinks and click ‘Save’.Hopefully this will resolve the issue for you, but let me know if you need further help. Thanks! 🙂
