    Howdy dcantato,

It sounds to me like your issue happens when you go to this page and in the view drop down change it from Month to Map. However, map view is not showing up. You probably disabled it because of the glitch, but in order to do anything I will need to see this in action. Mind reenabling that view?

I appreciate it! Please let me know if I misunderstood, or if that wont work for you.

    Howdy epixmedia,

Thank your for notifying us of the conflict. You say you spent considerable time fixing it, does that mean you were able to get it fixed with the latest version of our plugin? Or was the fix a downgrade? If you did fix it with a code snippet or something, would you mind sharing that with the community?

    Thanks for the feedback!

    Howdy,

I hope you understand, we can not assist with learning specifications (like RFC 822) or generic PHP stuff like arguments for a Date object. Rather, Tribe employs me to answer questions regarding Tribe APIs.

That said I hate turning people away without helping at least little. You would want your output date to match the RFC 822 Specification. You might check with Google for how PHP Date syntax works.

Please do let me know if you have any questions regarding our API, functions, or so forth though. I would be glad to assist with that!

in reply to: lots of errors – strict standards #93027

    Howdy parkesburgtoday,

This looks related to PHP’s strict standards. There is a setting in your host’s php.ini file for which errors to report. Yours is set to strict, and probably not set that way on your other site. The strict setting reports warnings in addition to errors. The warnings are mostly useless in a situation like yours.

Since this is not happening with the 2012 theme then it is not really our plugin generating the warnings. If you simply want to get rid of the “errors” consult with Hostgator for changing the PHP error reporting level to something less stringent. If you want to diagnose the errors and find what in your theme is causing them, then you are going to have to dive deep into some PHP debugging. This is generally done in a local sandbox server running something like x-debug, and will likely require a thorough understanding of PHP.

Does that answer your question? Is there anything I can clarify? Please let me know!

Go to your Admin area, click on Events, then click on Trash. The Trash link is a little small, it is directly underneath the Filters & Columns box. Do you see it there?

    You are welcome!

    Hello kimrubenstein,

It looks to me like you might have got this fixed. When I go to the calendar I am seeing a couple of events and in general it seems like the calendar is working. Screenshot.

Were you able to fix it already? Or, is something going on that I am not noticing? Please let me know. Thank you for posting!

    Howdy lacoatingsociety,

I would be glad to help you. Here are my responses:

    1) It should be. Since you can redownload past versions from our site at any time, deleting the plugin folder should not prove to be a problem. The only exception I can think of is if you have made direct modifications to our plugin instead of using our APIs or hooks. But, since you already have the new plugin up and running it sounds like you can safely delete the old.

    2) I did not find your past topic, so perhaps I am asking you questions you previously answered. But just in case, have you successfully registered you license key with the plugin? This straightforward guide walks you through it, and it is very easy. Getting the license key affects your update process.

    3) In the same sentence you appear to indicate that the base module is showing an update, then say it is not. I am a bit confused as to whether it is the Pro version or the “base” one that is giving you a problem. I will address both possibilities just in case.

To manually update the Pro version: Download a copy of it from here. Rename the old folder as you are accustomed to, then extract the new one in its place. When you are satisfied that everything works as expected, delete the old plugin folder.

To manually update the base, my instructions are the same as above except you would download it from here.

You are welcome. Let me know if you run into hiccups, or if you need further explanation of anything. Thanks!

    Howdy partycamsa,

Facebook does have rate limiting, but when it happens you should see an error code thrown. If you are not seeing an error I doubt that is what is happening here. Furthermore, I have not heard of someone hitting that limit with only 20 events.

It is quite possible that something else is at play. Have you tried a few different events and experienced it with each of them? Do you have any other suspects?

    Howdy Jeff,

I am glad you are interested in our plugin. Here are my responses:

    1) Creating payment gateway interfaces is generally a bit involved. I have blown through budgets a couple of times when doing this with some standalone ecommerce solutions. But, that is really a question for the WooCommerce community. They would be able to give you specifics and maybe even a time estimate.

    2) You can still sell physical products. Our plugin adds to WooCommerce functionality, it does not remove from it.

You are welcome. Please us know if you have any other questions, or if you need me to expand on this any. Cheers!

    Howdy cwheelsone,

I am sad to hear it was not a good fit. I take it you are referring to the community events plugin. Was there something in particular that did not function as you expected?

We process refunds through [email protected]. If you are interested in a refund please shoot an email to that department specifying why. Thanks for posting. Let me know if I can help you with the plugin.

I am glad to hear you were able to get it working. I understand what you mean about cobbling stuff together, many WP developers were there are some point.

That code looks like it will work to me. Happy site building!

    Howdy Scott,

I do not believe this to be a bug. I am able to create duplicates of your event locally, and they are appearing in February.

You can delete a single occurrence out of a series. My main suspect is that those events were accidentally trashed, or permanently deleted. Have you checked your trash? Simply restore them if found there. If not, there, there were probably fully deleted. You would need to add them back manually in that case.

It is worth keeping an eye on to see if this happens again, but no other users appear to be reporting anything similar.

Does that make sense? Did my advice help you get it fixed? Thanks!

    Howdy Ces!

You can certainly use the Eventbrite plugin without the Pro addon. Just buy the plugins you need. If you later decide you want the Pro version as well, you can install it at any time.

Does that make sense? Do you have any other questions? Thanks!

Thanks for the update Sean. I am glad you were able to get the initial problem fixed. Based on your last paragraph it sounds like you are nearly finished, perhaps even finished as of the time of this post. That’s great!

Since the initial issue is resolved I am going to close this thread. If you do need help with something else, or end up needing help with those breadcrumbs, please open a new topic.

You are very welcome! All the best.
