ParticipantI understand that. I wish it was easier. That is a feature I too would like to see in the CSV importer. But, unfortunately there has not been enough demand for it. At least yet. We are currently working on adding a number of features to the calendar, many of them far more popular with our users. But if you do make a feature request hopefully it will gain popularity in the mean time. Thanks peppermint!

ParticipantHello travellearner,
Excellent news! Thank you for sticking with that. I am very sorry for the inconvenience. I wish there was more I could have done remotely to help while the site was not working.
Yes there is a new version! In order to recieve updates to it you need to activate your PRO license key. That is pretty easy to do. Check out this tutorial. Once you have done that, within an hour or so you should see an update available and you can just click update.
Thank you for pasting that code in your theme. It was truly enlightening. I know of two other topics with a similar issue. For one of them changing the priority level of our TribeEvents::init() was all that they needed. I think this might work for you too. I have tried to make that as easy as possible by creating this snippet. I hate to have you do this again, but could you paste one more snippet in your theme, the one I just linked to? You can leave everything else alone, but replace the opening <?php tag with this code. As you know, you only need one <?php tag and since that snippet includes it, you can just replace your tag with that code. Afterwards, flush your permalinks again as outlined under the heading “What if it is only event pages that 404?“.
Did that work for you? If not, would you mind copy/pasting your entire functions.php file to pastebin? I can have a look and make sure it is all setup. Just post the link to your file here after you’ve pasted it.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello again,
Thanks for clarifying. You have been super thorough on verifying it is the proper file.
I just created a child theme with a theme override for Community Submission, and confirmed it works when I am logged out or logged in since my settings allow anonymous submissions of events (not logged in). Here is a copy of it, it’s rather straight forward. I was not sure if an example might help you.
Unless I can see your code it is going to be difficult for me to be much more help. Does the above example help you? Do you see any difference between what I’ve done and what you did? Or, do you mind sharing a copy of your theme and child so that I can have a look? Thanks for keeping us posted sj!

ParticipantHowdy hmc,
I am sorry about the delayed response. I typed one up a few hours after you posted, but I must have exited the window too quickly after hitting submit because it’s clearly not here now. 🙁
I have not seen that problem before. And searching through the site I can not find a single other user of that plugin, at least one who has mentioned it by name.
If that plugin restricts the wp-admin/ directory, that is probably the cause. wp-admin hosts one file that non admins access all the time, admin-ajax.php. For whatever reason WP has put the ajax API inside of that file. So if you restrict the directory, it breaks ajax WP wide for anyone that hits the restriction. If this is an option inside of Restrict Content, disable it so that everyone can access wp-admin.
Did that help at all? Please let me know. Cheers!

ParticipantSo you were unable to upload your backups? I want to help you restore your site for sure. What problem are you currently facing? Have you made any progress since Decemeber 3rd? Was my comment helpful?
