ParticipantHello,
I had purchased a license for The Event Calendar Pro more than a year ago. I do have a multisite installation of wordpress but I really only have one active site. I do not have any other site operating at the moment.
I had already disabled The Event Calendar plugin from the network and I have already enabled it from the active site.
Still when I look at my dashboard on your site to renew my license, it shows that I have a multisite installation.
I’d like to change that to a single site because I do not intend to use it any where else. And I also understand the single-site license is cheaper. Please advise as to what I should do before I renew my license.
Thanks.

ModeratorHi and welcome back 🙂
The best route at this time would be for you to purchase a new license for Events Calendar PRO. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be granted a new license key which will appear on your License Keys page.
Let me know if this helps clear up any confusion and have a great week ahead. Cheers!

ParticipantTo renew an existing license, I have to pay as if I’m buying a new one?
Please explain.
Also I’d like to know the cost for the new license and how is that different from renewing an existing one.Thanks.

ModeratorHello,
I’ve gone ahead and downgraded the license you currently have from Multisite to Personal. You should now see the option to renew on your License Keys page. More info can be found here. Please let me know if you have any more questions and have a great afternoon.

ParticipantPlease download my license to a personal one and I will go ahead and renew. I do not currently perform any imports. I simply display a calendar of events on my site. That’s it.
Thank you.

ParticipantSir,
My issue is not resolved. Here are the steps I’ve taken:
1. I’ve not renewed by license because it kept asking me to pay for 245$ even after you claim you’ve downgraded my account to a ‘Personal’ one.
2. I deleted that item in the shopping cart and added another one ‘Personal’ for 89$ I believe.
3. I checked out and paid for it and then received a confirmation email with a new ‘Personal’ license code.
4. I went to my dashboard (licenses area) on your website and noticed that there are now to licenses assigned to the same website. So I removed the one that is expired and kept the new one, which is personal.
5. I went back to my wordpress dashboard and entered the new license code for personal. I get a Congratulations message. However, I’m unable to update. The only place I can try to update is when I click on my plugins under my network in wordpress, even when I have already de-activated that because my Event Calendar plugin is only active on one website (http://projectvictor.com).
6. I don’t know how to update. This is why I kept asking you to downgrade my license to a personal one and that doesn’t seem to have happened.
Please resolve this.

ModeratorWelcome back,
I assure you I downgraded your Multisite license to a Personal license shortly before I responded on January 9, 2017. You should have seen the option to renew your Personal license for PRO in your License Keys page.
If you would like, you can get a Refund for the purchase you made on January 11, 2017 and renew your existing license at a discount. If this is what you would like to do, please visit the Refunds page and complete the form. Once you’ve done that, visit your License Keys page and select the ‘RENEW PERSONAL LICENSE‘ button. (see screenshot below)

There is a possibility you’re experiencing a theme and/or plugin conflict. Please review our Testing for conflicts guide to see if you are able to update.
Please review the Knowledgebase articles below for more information:
- https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/moving-your-license-keys/
It might be best you open a thread in the Events Calendar PRO support forums so we have the option to reply privately. For example, I need your System Information sent in a private reply, but the Pre-Sales Questions forums doesn’t allow for private replies.
If you are still having troubles after reviewing the articles linked to above, please create a new thread in the PRO support forums. Please make sure you’ve reviewed our Testing for conflicts guide before replying to this post or creating a new one.
Lastly, until we get this issue resolved, you can always download the latest version of PRO from your Downloads page and update the plugin manually.
Thank you and please keep me updated. Cheers!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
