Thanks — I believe you nailed it. Sorry for the bother. I do have another question that is more important, and I’ll be submitting that separately.

Yep, Mathew’s suggestion fixed the problem. That’s just what I was looking for. Thanks!

    Hello Courtney,

I cannot do what you are requesting. The site that this is on is part of a multisite that is actively being used by a cancer center. Most of the plugins are Network activated. “Deactivating all other plugins” is therefore not a trivial request. It would require my ending network activation, and then manually temporarily activating the plugins individually on all of the other network sites, and then later, undoing that and restoring network activation to all sites. That would take hours and hours of work. I’m simply not going to do that, and I absolutely cannot afford to have any of these sites offline or non-funcitoning, especially for a trivial issue like an extra vertical line (which, by the way, appears nowhere else in any of the pages of this site or the other sites in the network, all of which are using the same theme – Beaver Builder – and the same plugins).

I have to admit that it is incredibly annoying for a reputable plugin vendor to make “deactivating everything” as your first, rote response to any report of something not working. Is that the only option? Might there be any other ideas?

    Thank you.

Issue resolved. No way to delete this?

Thanks, Jennifer. I believe I now have everything fixed:

The permissions issue turned out to be that user levels had been checked under Content Permissions, and I missed seeing that. Removing those checks fixed that problem. My apologies; I should have figured that out without having to bother you.

I found the info on coupons under WooCommerce.

I’ll make do with the limited choice for fields. I’d certainly suggest that might be a future enhancement, as fields for emails and dates are pretty standard these days in any kind of form.

Thanks again for your prompt help. Issue resolved.

Yep, that fixed it. My apologies; that should have been obvious to me. Thank you!

Hi, Nico. Thanks for the prompt response. I figured that I would need to do an uninstall/reinstall, and since that’s what you suggested, I did that easily and it worked fine.

Nope, not a local network or intranet. But it is multi-site, with two sites using TEC-Pro (the parent site and one sub-site). I’ve already had a few conversations with Barry at TEC about TEC multi-site issues I’ve run into (I’m sure he can share the correspondence), so I’m wondering if the update problem I ran into is related to that. I haven’t yet had a chance to work with the plugin itself since my upgrade to PRO to see if there are any problems in using it, but at least all of the updates and licenses are now set up. I’ll keep you posted if I run into other issues.

(By the way, you should know that the Elegant Themes Monarch plug-in is wreaking havoc with various automated plug-in updates, requiring that Monarch be deactivated because it’s blocking updates, including yours. I’ve contacted them about this, and we’ll see if they own up to the problem and fix it. But if you run into any other complaints about automated updates generating an alert saying that an Elegant Themes API is required, that’s the problem.)

    Thanks much,
    Steve

Tried again, still getting this message when attempting to update from 4.4.2 to 4.4.3:

An error occurred while updating The Events Calendar PRO: Update package not available.

I don’t understand why this is happening. Do I need to uninstall/reinstall to do the update?

    Help, please.
