ParticipantHello,
Thanks for the update, that makes sense. So in theory, we could, for example, wrap this in an if statement that produced a different type of link based on the category in question? If so, do you know which variable we can use to determine the category type?

ParticipantHi Victor,
Thanks for your reply. That sounds like exactly what we need, but I’ve just tried it out and it doesn’t seem to have made any difference. Do you have any further suggestions?

ParticipantOK great, thanks for the update!

ParticipantHi Jaime,
Thanks for the update. I think that answers most of my questions. However, I’m not sure on the recurring event – this isn’t really for a ‘daily’ event, but more for a campaign that is on indefinitely, so I’m not sure a recurring event is the right thing to use here. It would be ideal if we could set something up that simply has no end date, rather than an infinite series of daily events. Does that make sense? If so, is that something that’s possible with the Events Calendar/Pro?

ParticipantHello,
Thanks for suggesting this. I have tried that change but it doesn’t seem to work. However, from looking at the code in single-event.php, the instructions you gave were to place the ‘medium’ image size with the ‘large’ image size. The problem I’m having is that the ‘thumbnail’ image size is being used, so I’m guessing that the code on line 86 isn’t part of the issue (otherwise it would say ‘thumbnail’).
Is there anywhere else I can change the code to get the medium or large image loading instead of the thumbnail?

ParticipantHi Victor,
Here’s an example of this:
http://www.themotoringdiary.com/events/list/?tribe_eventcategory=4
If you look in the code you will see that the Featured Events are pulling through the featured image at full size. An example of this is: http://www.themotoringdiary.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Haynes.png
If you look at the non-Featured Events, you will see that their featured images have been cropped to the 150×150 WordPress thumbnails. This is an example:
http://www.themotoringdiary.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/NAIA-150×150.jpg
Does that make sense?

ParticipantHi Jaime,
Thanks for the update. What I was hoping to do is actually pull in a different size of featured image – currently, it looks like the 150×150 thumbnail is being loaded for the Upcoming Events, so if I use CSS to enlarge this it will either be cropped again or will be stretched. The Featured Events seem to be able to load a different size of Featured Image, which has the correct aspect ratio, so I’d like to also get this showing for Upcoming Events. Do you know if that’s possible?

ParticipantHi Brendan,
Sure, can you try the attached file?
Thanks.

ParticipantHi Courtney
Thanks for the response on this, we’ll just have to live with it as it is for now.
We have a couple of outstanding issues on this thread:
Would you mind chasing these up to see if we can get a response?
Thank you.

ParticipantHello,
Just had a thought – do we need Event Aggregator installed in order to get this Featured Image importer working, or should that work out of the box with The Events Calendar/Events Calendar Pro?
Raymond Gillespie
ParticipantHi Brendan,
Yes, we have checked this actually – I’m pretty we are following the process correctly, it’s just that the images don’t ever seem to import, regardless of whether they are hosted on the server or externally.
What else can we do?

ParticipantHi Jaime,
I think it’s all sorted thanks. We had a play around with the events slug, and then regenerated all the category URLs using that, and it all seems fine now. I think you were right that using the shortcode created the problem – when we reverted to the native pages it resolved the issue.
Thanks for your help.

ParticipantHi Jaime,
Thanks for your response. Yes, it appears that the filter bar is appearing on the category pages, but actually we just want it on the main calendar page – it’s not actually showing on the main calendar page, just on the category pages. Do you know how we can swap this so it only appears on the main calendar?

ParticipantBump – any chance we could get a response on this?

ParticipantHi,
We’re having further issues with this. We’ve set up a new field for Twitter and mapped it correctly, but it won’t import (see attached file). Could you look into this too please?
Thank you.
