    Hi Geoff,

Thanks for the prompt reply. (1) seemed to do the trick! Working now. Thanks!

Not quite. The photo view remains the only one checked but the “Default View” changes to “List” and because “List” is checked the plugin breaks on the events archive page. I opened a thread related to this issue after the last update which you kindly fixed. I assumed that it was me that “nudged” the default setting at some point, but given the same thing happened again with the last update the issue seems to be on your side.

It’s not a major issue and is entirely resolved by re-selecting “Photo view” in the default view, but if you don’t see this it’s incredibly puzzling and had me switching themes and deactivating plugins before…

That’s great news. But it’s impossible to actual re-buy a license to update the PRO plugin once it has been refunded on your website. I’ve tried for 20-minutes and I end up in a circular route of pages. What should I do?

    Hi Hunter,

    Thanks for the reply.

I have requested a refund for the plugin in another forum topic and I’m
requesting it again here. The only reason I purchased the PRO version
rather than simply use the free version is the plugin’s claim to handle
recurring events. On the backend this is the case–you have more options
than other plugins for various patterns and recurrences. However, the logic
is glitchy and that ultimately means I cannot use the plugin for my
purposes and as it does not do what it promises to do.

For example, to set up the event I describe I have two options:

    (1) Set it up as an all day event (your plugin–and no other from what I
can tell–can handle multi-day events which a time slot for each day) and
then write the time in the body. Not ideal, but only a small issue. However
this option doesn’t work because there is a fault (as per your reply) with
your plugin. Incidentally, I don’t want to set a single start/end date for
multi day events because then it shows X event beginning at 9am Saturday
and ending at 5pm Sunday (for instance), which is not the case.

    (2) Set up each day as a separate event. This I don’t like doing because an
event is not a logical construct–it’s whatever I define it to be. In this
case a market that takes place over the weekend is one event. Moreover,
when I have a recurring event spread over several days this quickly gets
    tediuous.

Hence the request for a refund, which I think is reasonable. If the above
issues are fixed I will consider rebuying because the plugin does have some
excellent features, but I would rather repurchase later than wait for an
update (especially since this issue has been raised previously and not yet
    fixed).

Hello. It would be good to see what the support answer was for the initial question. This is (more or less) the same issue I am having, even for more simple setups. For example, a weekend market that occurs every on the first Saturday and Sunday of each month between 10:00-16:00 each day.

Each monthly event should be treated as a separate “event” and yet the plugin doesn’t give any way to specify a start and end time for Saturday and Sunday. So I end up registering the event as starting on Saturday @ 10:00am and ending on Sunday @ 16:00, which isn’t true.

Making two separate postings–one for Saturday and one for Sunday–results is the plugin thinking that the Saturday and Sunday evenings aren’t related, which is fine but for the fact that when you look at the event calendar and select “only show first occurrence” then one Saturday for April (say) is shown and then the next month only the Sunday is shown…

What is the answer to this? It’s strikes me as pretty basic logic one would expect in an event plugin with that allows for reoccurring events. If I’m missing something, please let me know.

    Hi Geoff,

Can you also please let me know which CSS selector I need to change the
line-height of body text and the margin-bottom of paragraphs? I thought
this was .tribe-events-content but add CSS to my file does not change
    anything.

    Hi Geoff,

    Thank you for the reply.

On (2) I will follow the link and try and make the amendments. Thanks.

On (1), here is a link to the website (
http://www.japanistry.com/events/list/). I’m just testing at the moment.
I’m basically happy with everything apart from the styling for the “list”
view. I would like the text to float to the right of the image (and I’ll
adjust the excerpt as per (2) so that it doesn’t overflow).

I was looking through the .php files but I just couldn’t get the right CSS
selector for the content in the list view only. Can you help?
