Hey Geoff,
I am grateful for the CSS that you added. It definitely helped!
My issue is still with the facebook page linking to events on my home page (www.jackpotlawrence.com). I would like for a person to click on an image for an event and have it take them to the facebook page but I can’t seem to figure it out. I don’t have a perfect knowledge of php so I have a hard time knowing where I am supposed to create a file with the code you presented.
And even outside of my homepage, it’s the same story. However, the difference there is that if you click on the event title it does take you to the facebook page. Still, if you click on the image it just takes you further to an event page on my site, rather than the facebook page like I would like it to do.
Can you help me any more with this?
Thanks,
StephenStephenParticipantYou’re right, it’s not working. I was clicking on the image which was working in the calendar view.
The CSS you sent me didn’t work, unfortunately :/
I found the thread that helped me earlier. Here’s the link: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/how-to-make-featured-image-in-tooltip-clickable/
Should I just try that again?
StephenParticipantSorry it has taken so long to get back to you!
Hopefully the screenshot made it this time. Do you see what I mean?
And still, when I click on an Upcoming Event from the Home page, not the Event page, it takes me to a page within WordPress, not to facebook. I want it to take the user directly to facebook. It worked before I updated everything, so I feel like it could work again.
Let me know what you think! Your help is greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Stephen GoodrickStephenParticipantHi Geoff,
Here is a screenshot of what I am talking about.
Any ideas on how to fix the background color behind this heading and
description text?Thanks,
StephenP.s. – the events on the homepage aren’t linking directly to facebook. Any
ideas there?StephenParticipantThis reply is private.

StephenParticipantSo I was able to revert the import settings to overwrite with origin
settings and that fixed the main problem. But that erased the setting I had
that allowed Images and Titles in the tooltip to be clickable and take you
directly to the facebook event. The main thing now is getting the navigation buttons to work. OH and the
“EVENTS” link in my menu doesn’t work anymore. Any idea how to fix that?Oh, and now my images for events aren’t automatically importing to the home
page “Updated Events” section. Any ideas there?StephenParticipantThis worked perfectly! Thank you soooooo much!!!!
StephenParticipantI just deleted the tooltip. But I would like it if someone could add some code in this thread that would make my tooltip Title and Image clickable so I can copy and paste it in like you said. I got lost in massive post that is the themer’s guide and I’m still a little intimidated by php. I can’t be the only person who is having trouble with this, am I?
Thanks,
StephenStephenParticipantIt is not just with scheduled Facebook imports. I am not getting pictures imported at all, whatever kind of import I try. I have had to go in and manually upload pictures which is eternally irritating.
Please fix this soon!
StephenStephenParticipantAs nice as that link is, I would really like for the title of the event that comes up in the lightbox when you hover over an event to be hyperlinked to the event page for easy linking. Is that possible?
Thank you,
Stephen -
