    Hi folks–

After a bunch of other intervening events, I am swinging back around to this. I added the code to the gridview.php file and the cats now appear as a list but having two problems:
    1) They are coming as a list, but not as a drop down menu. My drop downs are working in other sections of the site (sidebars, etc), so I don’t think it is a theme issue. Any suggestions?
    2) The links from the catlist don’t go to the right pages. If you click on any of the links, it takes you to a “Page not found” page…

I am wondering if it wouldnt be easier for me to higher one of your developers to customize this (and a few other minor things) for me, since I am a php noob. Is that a service you’re providing?

Let me see if I can explain it better:
Using Caspio, I’ve created a business directory that includes numerous local Venues and attractions. After the preliminary search, there is a brief results page with a link to drill down deeper to a details page. The Caspio details page pretty much gives the same info as your venue page, but the caspio page doesn’t have the “upcoming events” info that your venue page has. Therefore, what I’d like to do is have link to the details page open into your venue page instead. I’m sure I can create those links one at a time in the data table, but with hundreds of venues I’d rather see if it’s possible to do it automatically.

Per Caspo, theirs can do this if your plug in can pass parameters back and forth. That’s where I get lost in the weeds.

    Any suggestions?

Dumb-ass question of the day: Where do I find the gridview.php template? I’ve checked all the folders in the plug in and in the theme and can’t find it. Is it possible my theme doesnt have one? (PlatformPro)

In a perfect world, the type of search functionality that I see on this events page, would be what I’d like on mine… is it doable?

For those of us still learning the coding side of WP, where exactly would one put that cat list code? I’ve been racking my brain for days trying to do exactly what Scott has on his page… a drop down list of event categories above the calendar view… much appreciated.

I’m using Platform Pro from Pagelines… added the second nav to the header template, but doesn’t show up… I’ll try asking over in the Pagelines forum as well.

On the second point: I tried that and then put it into the sidebar as a custom menu, but it is still appearing as a list and not as a dropdown. The dropdown does work for the Categories List (directly above it in the sidebar on http://www.gonorthnyc.com). So I don’t think it is a theme issue…

    Any thoughts?

Just saw the “Widget Not Working” discussion from earlier. I know you’re working on a fix. My issue is slightly different than that one, but I am guessing it will be handled in the same fix. Thanks.

Oh… and it still isn’t a drop-down menu… just a secondary nav under the main nav… would be better if it was a dropdown like the list categories plug in on the side bar of both the above pages

Thanks for getting back to me. I tried that and was able to create an “Events Menu” Tab with just the event categories I want. But can’t seem to get it to properly appear on the pages.

I am using Pagelines Platform Pro, so I set it up as a secondary nav, but it still doesn’t appear on the main Events page.

Strangely enough, I did manage to get it to appear on one of the individual events pages, *but* for some reason it is appearing TWICE on these pages:

    Help?
