ParticipantThe link to Technical Documentation does not work when I click on it on this page. I swear to you, I’m not crazy. 😉 Scroll up from here, click on the link see if you get the 404 page – or maybe it’s not a 404 page, maybe it’s another type, but either way it is not the Tech Docs. It says, “Zoinks! Sorry buddy, this page is off limits.”
I can’t really know what bug to be concerned about if I don’t know what bugs exist. I wish I had enough time to sort through the 5380 posts about ECP looking for current bugs, see if they apply to what we want to do and then check to see if they were fixed. Right now I’m thinking the safest thing to do, and to expedite this job is to use the version we used last year, the one prior to “the big upgrade”. Unless you can tell me it’s safe enough to move forward with this version?
We have been using ECP Pro for three years now, I’ve always renewed, and have always been happy with it, but this is disappointing. We were really hoping to take advantage of some of the new things that were in this version.

ParticipantWhere is the list of “known bugs”? I keep clicking on the Technical Documentation link over there –> (right column of this page) and I’m getting a 404 page. Sort of thought it might be there.
I’m asking about all the bugs because the site this is supposed to be working needs to be ready for launch by the end of March. Between March & early September, the site will be VERY busy and there will not be a “good” time to do any kind of updates that might disrupt the 200 some odd events and recurring events that will be on the calendar. This organization’s entire season in a large part relies on this calendar, can’t afford downtime or problems.
I need to look over that list and decide if there are too many bugs in this version to comfortably use it and we need to revert back to a lower version, or use something else all together.

ParticipantKelly, apologies – I thought you worked here.
Patti
ParticipantBTW – would you like me to submit another ticket regarding the strangeness happening when trashing an organizer?
Patti
ParticipantYour solution works, but would only give me one organizer at a time. I would have to do it 60 times in order to get all the events I need to delete. Just as easy to go through the list and compare it to the list of 60 names I have to remove and check the box if it’s on the list.
I thought it would be quicker, more *efficient*, be able to do a bulk removal on by sorting on organizer, then selecting multiple events (check box), and then delete.
Just out of curiosity – if the organizer column isn’t sorting on the organizer name, what is it sorting on?

ParticipantPasting from HTML can drag in formatting you don’t want. Try pasting it in after clicking the “Text” tab of your editor window (upper right). Then click the “Visual” to switch back to the visual editor to do all your formatting.
You shouldn’t try to copy & paste images into the posting, you need to upload them using the media button to make sure they will be connected to the post the right way.

ParticipantThis http://pastebin.com/c8wYLqYy PLUS another 2 hour review of this https://theeventscalendar.com/tribe-meta-walker-an-overview/ helped me come up with a temporary way to deal with it. It’s not pretty, but it works.
Patti
ParticipantOMG. Just ignore that last comment. Need to read slower, reply even slower. LOL
Patti
ParticipantHow did I miss that? Can you point me in the direction of that info? & thanks very much!
Patti
ParticipantThanks for your time, Jonah!
Patti
ParticipantARGH! Ahoy! Shiver me timbers & thank you very much! 😉
Patti
ParticipantNever mind… Apparently, much like my husband, I don’t know how to take out the trash. 😉
Patti
ParticipantTara, I wouldn’t know much about that plugin, sorry! What I was suggesting was that you use the custom field feature in that comes with the events calendar and add some custom coding to your template that would take advantage of them.
Patti
ParticipantTara, you can do that if you look into the Facebook og meta tags (og = Open Graph). In theory, I would think you can set them using event custom event fields and a little creative coding.

Participant*No backwards navigation on the single event pages if event start date is prior to today.
Should be: No backwards nav on the single event page if the PREV event start date is prior to today.
