Hi Smitty,

An .ics file is generated when you hit to Ical Import button at the bottom of your calendar. The URL for that will be http://mysite.com/events/ical or http://mysite.com/events/title-slug/date/ical. I believe that’s what you’re looking for- I’m not familiar with SchoolView.

Hey Tim,

Happily, Barry just whipped up a snippet that should help you out (http://pastebin.com/x66he0BC) that needs to be added after while(have_posts()) : the_post(); in events/list.php

He says that it doesn’t actually check the cut off time, but instead checks to see if an event is multiday, if the current view is Single Day and if the event started before the day being viewed. If that criteria is met, it skips that event.

Hi Tony,

Both the free and PRO version of the Events Calendar allow you to specify categories for events. The ability to sort by category within the calendar view is not currently baked in to the plugin, although people have certainly done it with customization. One nice way of achieving a similar effect is to make a custom menu using the event categories and put that in your sidebar.

About an “add to my calendar” link- are you looking for a way that users can submit events to your site, or a way that events can be exported from your site to a user’s calendar? Or is it something else? I’ll be happy to help once I understand the question a little better 🙂
