    Hi Luigi,

We’d be happy to help you out, but would you mind starting your own thread? That way we can focus on your specific situation.

    Thanks,

    Hi Tigger,

Thanks for the screenshot. I looked into this and it appears that you found a mistake in our plugin! That function is labeled incorrectly, which is why it’s not translating even though that string is in the .po file. We have ticketed this and will fix it in one of our upcoming maintenance releases. Thank you so much for bringing it to our attention!

While you wait for the fix, you might try using a string-specific translation plugin like Say What? to display that text in German instead of English. Thank you for your patience and support!

    Hi Julia,

Thanks for your note. I’m not familiar with OSM, so it’s hard for me to gauge. With the right skills, resources, and/or creativity, almost anything is possible with our plugin :D. But I’m not familiar with other users trying to change the map that’s used. I suspect it would be pretty complicated, particularly if you were using Events Calendar PRO which includes more uses of the map.

The best way to gauge this is to download our free core plugin, The Events Calendar, and see if you can get OSM working with that. You’ll want to check out our documentation to get started. If you can get that working as needed, you might consider going PRO. But please note that because this is way outside the design of our calendar, we wouldn’t be able to provide any support for your OSM implementation. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Hi John,

Yes and no 🙂 You can make a recurring event and then go in and edit the individual instances, but that will break those instances out of the recurrence pattern. So if you did make changes and then wanted to make changes to the whole series, that would not be possible. Also, events would not show as part of a recurring series on the front end. But if that’s not important to you, then you could use them as you describe. Does that answer your question?

    Hi Julie,

Although we do have ticketing plugins that could be used to do some of this, what you really need is a booking plugin. We want to make one in the future, but unfortunately I don’t think we can meet your needs without a lot of customizing. The main thing missing is that our calendar and ticketing plugins would not show who had registered for a given event. I’m sorry I don’t have happier new for you.

    Hi Dirk,

Thanks for getting in touch. Sounds like a cool idea! Your idea of having runners register with free tickets is a good one. Many folks use our ticketing plugins for something like that.

There is not currently any built in way to show users what events they are registered for or have attended. It could certainly be possible with some customization and/or third party plugins, but that’s not something we’d be able to assist you with. Does that answer your question?

    Hi Rosanna,

Thanks for getting in touch. A combination of The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO, and one of our ticketing plugins will work for most of your needs. However, there are a few of those features that would require some customization of our plugin(s) to achieve.

    1. shows event dates on a calendar – this need is definitely met by our core plugin, The Events Calendar

    2. allows multiple events creation (not just one event at a time) – Events Calendar PRO allows you to make recurring events, such as an event every Tuesday for six months. Would that work for you?

    3. price variations (for example, an event tickets can be sold as single ticket for $100, 1 table of 10 people for $900, 2 tables of people for $1800) – our ticketing plugins can do different kinds of tickets with different prices, but they are still single tickets- so for example to buy 1 table for 1o people at $900 you would still only get 1 ticket, not 9 separate tickets. Would that still work for you?

    4. pay by paypal – WooCommerce Tickets, Shopp Tickets, and EDD Tickets allows buyers to pay with PayPal

    5. email notification to BOTH admin and buyers (for new purchases) – the buyer of the tickets does recieve an email. There is not a built in notification for the admin, but you might be able to use a third-party plugin such as a WooCommerce extension to do this.

6.export event attendees via .csv or excel format – you can export the event attendees list to a .csv format. Please note that this is a list of the people who have purchased tickets, so any attendees who didn’t buy their own ticket wouldn’t be listed here.

If you’re interested in working with a developer, we’d be happy to give you a list of folks who could help. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Hi magictigger,

Can you give me some screenshots of the untranslated strings you’re seeing? And this is will those new German files I gave you right? That info will help me look into this further. Thank you!

    Hi Mike,

We do not have a demo that includes the admin side of things. We do have a frontend demo at wpshindig.com. The best way to see the backend/admin side of the plugins is to check out our new user primers, which include video walkthroughs of each. I also highly recommend that you download The Events Calendar (free) from the WordPress plugin directory. As our core plugin, that will give you a good idea of the “feel” of our plugins. If you have any specific questions about functionality, you can always post here and I’d be happy to help out. Thank you for your interest!

    Hi magictigger,

Glad to hear those worked! Those files were just submitted to us, after our latest release. They’ll be included in the 3.6 release, but for now the only way to get them is to post as you did 🙂

    Hi Julie,

Thanks for getting in touch. We do have a non-profit partnership program that allows qualifying organizations to use our plugins for free. You can read over our Non-Profit Program FAQ page to get all the details. On the FAQ page you’ll find a link to our application form with further instructions. We look forward to hearing from you!

    Hi everyone,

Thank you for reporting this problem. Can you confirm for me that you are running the latest version of The Events Calendar (3.5.1) and WooCommerce Tickets (3.5)? Also, are you running JetPack? If you are running Jetpack, please make sure it is updated to the latest version as well (2.9.2).

If you’ve confirmed the above and are still having the same problem, please deactivate all plugins except The Events Calendar, WooCommerce, and WooCommerce Tickets. If the issue is resolved by doing that, we’ll know it’s a plugin conflict. Then you can start adding them back one by one until you find the one that is causing the problem.

Thank you all for your patience while we straighten this out.

    Hi veruska,

Sorry the license key is giving you trouble! I’m happy to help get that squared away.

First I’d like to have you clear your browser’s cache and try inputting the license again. If it still doesn’t “stick,” please try another browser. If that is still not working, you’ll need to manually update the PRO plugin to 3.5.1 so that it matches the current version of The Events Calendar (also 3.5.1).

To do this, deactivate and delete the Events Calendar PRO plugin from your Plugins page. You should not lose data, but we recommend that you backup your database first just in case. Then install the new version of the plugin (downloaded from your account’s downloads page) and activate it. That will get you running PRO 3.5.1. Once you are running the latest version of our plugins, I suspect the license key issue will correct itself. Definitely let me know if you take those steps are are still having trouble.

    Best,

    Leah
