Hello again Barry,
I have a little question regarding this issue. I have been doing some work on it and was able to display all the metadata for the event next to the event list. However, I am having trouble singling out the correct part of the metadata I require.
My question is this:
Could you send me the location of the file where the metadata content for a specific event is decided?
– I have been searching through a lot of files but I feel it is like looking for a needle in a haystack, if you could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful!Kind Regards,
AindreasAindreasParticipantHello again George,
I have been able to get the file you mentioned (wp-content/plugins/event-tickets/src/Tribe/Attendees_Table.php) but it seems to be about determining the content for the attendees page rather than the export file.
I was able to create 2 new columns displaying the necessary information on the attendees page, but upon clicking ‘export’, neither the columns added nor the information in them is included in the export file.
Would you know the location of the file where it is determined what is included in the export file?
I really appreciate all the help you have provided me!
Kind Regards,
AindreasAindreasParticipantHello George!
Well, I guess if were talking about different plugins we will never find the same files 😀 Sorry bout that confusion!
I have some hesitation in switching to Event Tickets (and yes, they appear in my License keys), will I have to enter all the ticket information again once I switch over? Currently there are a LOT of tickets on the site, and rewriting all of them would be quite a pain to be honest…
Heres to hoping its an automatic transferal! 😀
Thanks again,
Kind Regards,
AindreasAindreasParticipantWell, thank you for all your time Barry! I really do appreciate it. Shame it didnt work, but I guess Ill find out why not eventually.
Is there maybe an article you could send me a link to for working with those custom fields?
Thanks Again!
Kind Regards,
AindreasPS: maybe leave this ticket open and if I do find the reason its not working I will post it here
AindreasParticipantOne little unrelated question Geoff, if you dont mind:
What timezone do you work in? Im guessing youre working in the US, but there is a difference between east and west coast, and this would help me a little in planning my replies and so forth.
Thank you for all your help!

AindreasParticipantHi Barry,
I didnt post anything yesterday, but thanks for asking!
Ive added the donation option to the events ‘W. B. Yeats – The story of his family and friends’ and ‘Silent Prayer’.
I just got a feeling that because I created my own events list file in my child theme it might be affecting it if it is working on yours. I pasted the code at: http://pastebin.com/vtcmBCEq – the file is named ‘single-event.php’.
Again, thank you for all your time so far!
Kind Regards,
AindreasAindreasParticipantHello Ronald,
Im afraid I was out of the country for a while there, so wasnt able to reply.
I was running the same versions of The Event Calendar and the Pro version as Jack.
I have just now updated to version 4.05 for The Event Calendar and the Pro version and it seems to have fixed the issue!
Thank you for the updates!
Kind Regards,

AindreasParticipantHello,
The code I used was a direct copy of the code you posted, which I put in my ‘funtions.php’ file in the child theme of my site.
Here is the code I copied from my site:
http://pastebin.com/si7FFvfrHere is a screenshot of the checkbox setup from the settings section from the events calendar:

I bet it is just one small thing I am missing to get it to work though, and would be very grateful for any help you can give me!
Thank You,
AindreasAindreasParticipantHello,
You are right in the fact it is the attendees CSV export file I am looking for. I have looked for the file in the location you mentioned, but the closest one I found was:
src/Tribe/Event_Tickets/Attendees_Report.php
It does not seem to contain the php for creating the CSV export file though. I also looked at the other 2 files in the Event Tickets folder, called ‘Main’ and ‘Ticket_Email’, but to no avail.
I started looking through a lot of the files, but I find its like looking for a needle in a haystack, there was a lot of programming involved in creating Events Calendar.Would you have any other ideas where the file might be or am I even looking in the right place?
here is the full root of where I was looking for the file:
wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Event_Tickets
Should I be in the Pro version of the calendar maybe? (though I did briefly scan through it)Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if I do find a solution to changing the CSV export I will be sure to post it so that others can find use for it.
Thank You for all your help so far!
Kind Regards,
AindreasAindreasParticipantThanks for the help!
Im at the airport and dont have time to implement the advice you posted, but I feel very confident about it.However, when the CSV file was exported there was no phone number, even though it appeared on the attendees screen. I am aware that this is probably a different issue and most likely one you cannot offer support for.
If you could at let me know which php file determines the CSV export file for the attendees I could play around with it and see if I can get it to work. (if I do Ill post the results here, so dont close the thread just yet, or I could create a new ticket and post the results there if you prefer)
Thank you for your help so far! Hope to hear from you soon!
Kind Regards,
AindreasAindreasParticipantThank you for the quick response!
I added the custom field through the events calendar settings and created the Donation section with Yes and No checkboxes. I then copied the code you posted and put it in the functions.php file.
However, it does not seem to work, though I do really like the approach you are taking. The website works as it normally does, it isnt throwing up a PHP error.
Im sure there must be something small that is preventing this from working, any ideas on what it may be?Thanks again!
Kind Regards,
AindreasAindreasParticipantHey Ronald,
I have the same issue (and know you are aware of the issue), however this workaround wont work for me as I am already using the date format (as in yyyy-mm-dd) as explained in the thread you posted.
Can you please post the status of the issue here if there is an update on it? Would be much appreciated!
Kind Regards,
AindreasAindreasParticipantThank you Geoff!
Ive manually uploaded the plugin through FTP as your link describes and it is working fine now, thank you very much!
All the best,
Aindreas -
