    Hey Jeremy,

On it’s own it isn’t necessarily a heavy load, however if there are a large number of events that are being pulled it can be. To help narrow in though, you could try following our Testing for Conflicts procedures to see if the issue persists with all other plugins deactivated and a default theme activated.

Also, even though you are on a shared hosting plan, you can reach out to the hosting provider and let them know that you have been experiencing some 500 Internal Server Errors and see if there is any more information in their logs that could point out exactly what may be the trigger there.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Werner,

I’m terribly sorry for the confusion there! I confused myself looking at the title of that first knowledgebase item you linked to and assumed it was in reference to the Additional Fields feature of the Pro plugin. However, looking at the snippets, those are for the WordPress custom fields and is exactly what you’re using and showing in your screenshots. Ignore everything I just said in the previous post 🙂

The custom fields box in WordPress allows you to add additional information to the Organizer and assign it to a particular key for accessing it on the front-end of the site. However, it doesn’t necessarily create it as an options template that gets set for all organizers.

If you’re looking to create a metabox of set information for each organizer where every time you add or modify an organizer you see the same fields that need to be filled out, I would recommend using a plugin such as Advanced Custom Fields

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Cindy,

Thanks for following up here and clarifying! I understand where you’re at now. Getting the copy of the functions file will definitely help in seeing what may be going on here with trying to set that snippet.

    Thanks!

    Hey Werner,

Ah! I see what you’re saying here. It looks like you’re using the built-in WordPress Custom Fields section there which allows you to create key => value pairs of information to be stored for specific posts. That isn’t related to the Additional Fields feature available within our Pro plugin and what is modified in the knowledgebase item you originally linked to.

Here is more information on using the Additional Fields feature https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/pro-additional-fields/.

Finally, the event content and information is stored within the wp_posts as a “tribe_events” post type and with the meta in the wp_postmeta table.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Jeremy,

    Thanks for following up here.

A 500 error would point to a server issue, however it looks like there could also be a performance issue here with the server not being able to process the request. As a step here, could you try enabling the month view cache for the site? You can find that setting under the Event Settings > Display tab.

    Thanks!

    Hey Jordi,

Could you try updating our plugin on that originating site to the latest version and we can test the feed again?

    Thanks!

    Hey Cindy,

Sorry the other suggestion wasn’t helpful in addressing that conflict with the other search plugin.

That suggestion was to copy the contents of you functions.php file to a site such as gist.github.com so I could see whether there was an issue with where it may have been placed within the code. However, since you were able to narrow down to a conflict with the other search plugin, that suggestion wouldn’t be as helpful here.

    Thanks!

    Hey Fred,

I don’t recall where the developer tools was showing the styles were being added. It’s possible that they’re being added by a file within your theme, added by another plugin (less likely but if you have something like the Event Calendar Colors plugin there could be something impacting there), or if you have some type of settings being added by the WordPress customizer.

    You can check this by:

    1. switching back to the checkbox format
    2. Using the developer tools to inspect those checkboxes that have the style issues
    3. You should see some stuff like what was seen https://cloudup.com/cEvJAJKpJwZ
    4. Above that section you will see a little text block that will have a path to what file on your site is generating that style.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hey Werner,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

When adding those snippets, the fields should be visible on the Organizers edit pages when creating or editing the organizers within your WordPress dashboard. Are they not showing there for you?

I also notice that you’re using the Community Events plugin. Is your request here in reference to adding Organizers on the front-end of the site via the Community Events form?

    Thanks!

    Hey July,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

It looks like you’re using the Pro version of our plugin for your site without any ticketing plugins? With that, my assumption here would be that you’re adding the range into the cost field at the bottom of the event details here https://cloudup.com/cbyQwJnOmKl ?

I’ve tested this on my local install and was able to replicate the undesired behavior when manually add “20/15” in that field. I’ll reach out to our team to see what the intended behavior of that field is since my initial assumption would be that it should act as a text field and just output the field exactly as it is saved.

    Thanks!

    Hey Jeremy,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Do you have a test site where you would be willing to add back the month navigation links? My initial assumption would be that there is potentially a javascript error on the page that gets triggered onto the page and preventing the AJAX request from completing as desired.

If so, we could look at the developer tools in the browser when clicking those navigation links on the month view of your calendar.

    Thanks!

    Hey Arne,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

Unfortunately, the option to have different times showing on the custom date recurrence is not currently supported by our recurring events feature. We do have this feature requested on our UserVoice page which you can add your voice to.

It is something that we will be looking to implement in a future release, but unfortunately I couldn’t give an exact time for when that would be available.

For now, you would need to create individual events for these events and you could use a post duplicator type plugin to get the information a little more easily onto the different events.

    Thanks!
