ParticipantHey Jo,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I just did some testing with a recurring event and attempting to remove an event from the series by editing the single. I did this with the Genesis theme active and didn’t get any errors when removing the event.
Would you mind sending over a screenshot of the recurrence settings for the event that you’re noticing this on? Also, with events duplicating, to clarify are you seeing a recurring event created with a recurrence being shown multiple times?
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Des,
Unfortunately it sounds like you are reading this one correctly. I apologize if the expectations weren’t properly set via our product pages when you made your purchase. If you would like, you can request a refund by sending a message to support[at]theeventscalendar.com.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Edwin,
Not sure I’m following what you’re looking for here. Are you referring to one of the screenshots on that page with the Event List Widget or the Mini-Calendar Widget? If so, both of these can be added to any widget area on your homepage or they can also be added via their associated shortcode. You can learn more about the shortcodes here.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Matthew,
I reviewed the network log when loading a few pages on your site and got the following results:
- My Account (https://cloudup.com/cp18mY64OYC)
- Home page (https://cloudup.com/cliSQNLzoAb)
- Main Events page (https://cloudup.com/cC0Rt4LMCpl)
When testing I noticed the site was pretty slow but it was really the entire site that was running pretty slow and the homepage had about 2 second longer load time than the events archive. My suggestion at this point would be to take advantage of the 60 day risk free option from WP Engine to see if upgrading the hosting plan helps out with the entire site load.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Hans-Gerd,
Thanks for following up with this information. Would it be possible to set your install up on a live development site? If not, could I get a database dump (you can email to support[at]theeventscalendar.com) so I can attempt to recreate the current configuration?
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Edwin,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately we don’t have a default widget that’ll do what you’re describing. If you would like, you can add this as a feature request on our UserVoice page.
I am limited in the amount of customization support that I’m able to provide, however if you can link to an example of the scrolling feature that you’re looking for I can maybe help to get you pointed in the right direction.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Gargi,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I just reviewed our internal ticket for this feature and it was recently updated to be addressed with our Next Release of the plugin. However, this isn’t a guarantee at this point that it will ultimately make it into the Next Release due to potential development and QA concerns but it does mean that it is being addressed more directly than it has in the past.
I’ve added this thread to our current ticket for tracking this feature. You’ll be notified here if it does make it into our next release of the plugin.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Martijn,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately we don’t have full support for WPML and the tickets plugins. We do support for the core and PRO plugins however there will most likely be some compatibility issues like you’re experiencing with some of our other add-ons.
One thing you could try would be to look at our setup guide at step #6 and ensure that your products are set up to be translated there as well.
Thanks!

ParticipantHey Mat,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I definitely understand that issues like these can be very frustrating. As an initial step, have you tried turning on the month view cache option within the Events Settings? Additionally, do you have any other caching set up on the site? This will allow for your different views to display without having every page load dependent on interaction with the database.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Hans-Gerd Gerhards,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
We have been making updates over the last couple of releases that have allowed the slugs for the different calendar views to be controlled by the translation of the site. As an initial step, on the site that is having difficulty in generating the right view when switching, can you try re-saving the permalinks to see if that helps? This will cause the rewrite rules to be flushed and hopefully help the view to display properly.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!
Josh
ParticipantHey Matthew,
Thanks for reaching out to us and also for providing the video to help clarify the issue! Definitely helpful.
I did some testing and wasn’t able to replicate with WooCommerce core plugin being the culprit. I noticed that you had several WooCommerce add-ons as well. Since the code for those shouldn’t fire unless WooCommerce is active, by deactivating WooCommerce you’re essentially deactivating all of the WooCommerce specific add-ons as well.
Try leaving WooCommerce active and the deactivating the WooCommerce specific add-ons to see if it is one of those that is causing the issue rather than the core plugin.
Thanks!
