ParticipantHey canadianbrass,
That’s a doozy of an issue and I’m not quite sure what to about it myself so I’m going to assign this as a ticket to a developer and have them take a look as soon as they can. Stay tuned.
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi Cheryl,
Sorry to hear about the issues. Aside from increasing server memory or switching web hosts I’m not sure there is much we can do with the plugin on this. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to see if there’s another plugin conflicting here? Or, reverting your theme to the Twenty Eleven/Twelve theme?
Let me know,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi Audra,
Both those apps provide ways for auto uploading the screenshots to their respective servers and then providing you with a link you can paste here to the screenshot. You’ll need to figure out how to use whatever you’re using…

ParticipantHey David,
You need to downgrade jQuery in your theme which involves going into the PHP code. But, don’t worry about that. We’ve got a hotfix coming out soon that will resolve this. Stay tuned.

ParticipantHey Tiago,
Yeah that would be nice. It’s definitely possible but I’m not sure how to do it without spending more time than I can on this thread. You’ll need to figure it out yourself or hire someone to help you. Good luck!

ParticipantYou’re welcome Thierry, let us know if there’s anything else you need.

ParticipantHey Laurence,
Unfortunately, it’s probably not too easy. You’ll need to dig around in your theme to find out where jQuery is being called and then modify that code to specify the version. That’s something you probably want to contact your theme author or your developer about.

ParticipantHi Cintia,
You should be able to do this by modifying the single events template. Make a copy of /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/views/single.php and place in an ‘events’ folder in your active theme. Then open up that file and add the custom fields within the post content however you want.
Does that help?

ParticipantHi guys,
This appears to be an issue with the most recent version of jQuery 1.9 being released a couple days ago. Some themes and/or plugins link to the most recent released version of jQuery automatically. We have code in our plugin that is not compatible with jQuery 1.9 so this is why you are having problems. If you can, downgrade to a previous version of jQuery (something pre 1.9 should work.
We will be working on a fix for this ASAP but the quickest thing to do right now would be to downgrade your jQuery for now. Stay tuned for an update from us on fixing the issue.
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi Kristy,
I’m going to have to dig a bit deeper on this to figure out what’s going on. Can you provide me wp-admin and FTP access so I can look at some things? You can email to pro [at] tri [dot] be and attn. to me.
Thanks,
JonahJonah
ParticipantHi Laurence,
Do you have an example where I can take a look at the issue?
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Cintia,
I’m not quite sure what you are asking for here. Isn’t this just a matter of going through each event and manually transferring the data yourself?

ParticipantHi David,
I think this is related to the version of jQuery being called on your website. There are a few script errors on your website and the first one is not related to our plugin. jQuery just released 1.9 the other day and Google has updated their API and many themes/sites are linking to Google’s version of jQuery. I would suggest downgrading from jQuery 1.9 until the author of your theme posts a fix for jQuery 1.9.
I hope that helps!

ParticipantHey Adam,
Here’s a Gist that will get you the events for today: https://gist.github.com/3148810
Creating a widget from that is a little more involved. Here’s a widget template that should help you get started: http://pippinsplugins.com/simple-wordpress-widget-template/
Does that help?
