David
ParticipantI am using the theme Repro:
http://www.themezilla.com/themes/repro/
As soon as I activate my events calendar, the image/post slider atop of my home page at:
http://daytoninformer.com
stops working.
Anyone?January 17, 2013 at 8:12 am #31024Jonah
ParticipantHi David,
I think this is related to the version of jQuery being called on your website. There are a few script errors on your website and the first one is not related to our plugin. jQuery just released 1.9 the other day and Google has updated their API and many themes/sites are linking to Google’s version of jQuery. I would suggest downgrading from jQuery 1.9 until the author of your theme posts a fix for jQuery 1.9.
I hope that helps!

ParticipantFYI, here’s a link explaining the actual issue: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14379681/jquery-quicksand-plugin-uncaught-typeerror-cannot-read-property-msie-of-undef

ParticipantHey David,
You need to downgrade jQuery in your theme which involves going into the PHP code. But, don’t worry about that. We’ve got a hotfix coming out soon that will resolve this. Stay tuned.

ParticipantHey David, just a quick update in case you didn’t see. We posted a hotfix release yesterday (2.0.11) that fixes this issue. Please update to the latest version and let us know if you have any other issues.
Thanks,

ParticipantWoot! Thank you very much!

ParticipantThere is one small problem, however. It seems that the new fix has also made my menu drop-downs no longer drop down. I used to have all of the different categories of the event calendar, and the “submit an event” bar available, but no longer. I am using the latest version of Chrome on Mac OSX 10.8.2

ParticipantHi David,
It looks like the update must not have gone through for you for some reason. Can you please try updating again, manually if need be?
Thanks,
JonahJanuary 24, 2013 at 8:56 am #31528David
ParticipantI de-activated, deleted, and re-uploaded everything according to spec, but I’m still having the menu problem.

ParticipantHey David,
There are javascript errors on your site and they appear to be related to your theme, not our plugin. The recent jQuery update probably “broke” a lot of themes and plugins and your theme may not have been updated yet. The way I know it’s probably your theme is by looking at the source of the files where the error is occurring. Look at the file path for the first error on the right: http://cl.ly/image/2N3C2f3k1o3p – that’s pointing right at your theme and it’s the same error that was affecting our plugin before we updated it. There is no error showing up here that’s related to our plugin. I suggest contacting the theme author about the issue or looking to see if there’s a theme update that may already be out to fix the issue.
Good luck!
