    Hi Guys,
I’m trying to get the calendar widget to link to the archive page of a specific day so when the user click on a day link on the mini calendar instead of showing a little bubble crumbed with events it would go to a day archive with events on that day and see his options for a saturday night with excerpts, thumbnails etc… I believe I can do it through working on table-mini.php template in my theme/events, I just could not find in the documentation a function to get the day archive link, or even find a permalink structure to get to this sort of filtering.

    Any hint?

    Tiago,
Since this is an EC Pro question, I’m going to go ahead and move this over to that forum. Stand by.

    Hi Tiago,

This should accomplish what you’re looking to do:

Modify your table-mini.php file (place a copy in an ‘events’ folder in your theme first) replacing line 89 with: https://gist.github.com/2293961

    I hope that helps!

Now if we are in January, and in the mini calendar the user move on to April events and than, let’s say click on the 25th of April link, he goes to the archive page of that day archive, perfectly, but the calendar changes back to January and to see events on the 26th April, the user has to click again in February and than browser to April and than on 26th which is a bit of work for them I’d say. Not a deal breaker, but would be awesome that that calendar would pickup the current month from the query.

Thanks a lot for your help Jonah! You already moved me miles ahead 🙂

Little typo above in “the user has to click again in February” replace February with April so it makes sense please!

    Hey Tiago,

Yeah that would be nice. It’s definitely possible but I’m not sure how to do it without spending more time than I can on this thread. You’ll need to figure it out yourself or hire someone to help you. Good luck!
