ParticipantHi Cliff,
Sorry it’s taken me a while to respond. I tried your first suggestion of the year-month URL, but it does not work in my case:
http://buskersintheburg.org/schedule/2016-09/
(I had renamed the slug “events” to “schedule” in Settings). I tried other variations and the default “events,” but they did not work either.
However, your suggestion to use tribe-bar-date did work, and across all modes, not just List. And it worked using “schedule” instead of “events.” I wonder why it works for this and not for just year-month?
http://buskersintheburg.org/schedule/photo/?tribe-bar-date=2016-09-01
This is a problem from an SEO standpoint, however, as I’ll have to redirect plan “schedule” to this bar-date URL.

ParticipantCliff,
Thanks for getting back to me. What I would like is for Events Calendar to show past events until the next year when the festival schedule is updated.
Festival events are like this — past events are used to showcase the event into the future until the new schedule is put together three or four months before the new event.
Are you telling me there is no way to do this in The Events Calendar? That seems crazy that I cannot do this.

ParticipantThanks, Geoff. I can read, but not write JS, but I’m sure I can figure this out. The only followup question I have is where does the code actually go to impact this map? I have the map templates copied over to the tribe-events/pro/ directory within my theme, but I don’t have a clue where this code should go in these files. Should it go inline within content.php?
I’m fairly limited in how much I can handle custom development like this, but Iād be happy to at least try if given more directions, and I’d be even happier to suggest that this be added as a separate value in the Map settings in future updates to the Pro paid license š
Thanks!

ParticipantActually, I got the above linked option to work. You should roll this into the next update. This is very confusing for users. A radio button for “Free” or “Cost” would work wonders, along with an “after:” field for inputting things like “(pay at the door).”

ParticipantThis particular forum post suggests a method for removing this, but it gives me the White Screen of Death — with or without your earlier recommendation.
Event with both ticket and RSVP options displays as FREE – $8

ParticipantHi George,
Thanks, this helps a lot. But now I’m getting “Free – $30” — the string “Free -” appears before every cost.

ParticipantI don’t know how this got posted in Community Events. I can’t seem to move it myself, so can someone in support move it over to Event Tickets?
Thanks.

ParticipantCindy,
Like you, I’m searching for a solution to this. I’ve figured out where the “Free” text resides in the template, and I can change it to another value, but that value shows up for all future tickets.
What I’m looking for is a way to state a unique price for each individual ticket, and then tell customers they can pay for the ticket at the door. My client doesn’t want an ecommerce shopping cart — only the the ability for customers to reserve a spot and then pay once they arrive the event.

ParticipantHi Brian,
Thanks for following up on this. The reason I didn’t reply is that you guys changed your domain and couldn’t reply at the time, then I got busy.
Is there sometime I can do on my end to check why this is happening?

ParticipantNow the images just reversed. The one from the 15th is now also showing up for the 22nd.
