ParticipantI have seen this if FB somehow tags your event as age restricted, due to alcohol or other things in the event.
Maybe try created a plain event, simple description and importing the single event itself to see if it works?dswiese
ParticipantI tried to queue up another import since my previous iCal import is stuck in a look, and this is
cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received – from the “other url” so from another TEC install

ParticipantI use https://wordpress.org/plugins/event-calendar-newsletter/ That quickly generates the html needed to just copy and paste into Mailchimp.
I haven’t yet gone pro and completely automated it yet, but I think there is a walk through on the site here somewhere.dswiese
ParticipantThat PageFrog plugin seems to be abandoned as the webpage doesnt load and the support has disappeared.
HOWEVER!
I landed on https://wordpress.org/plugins/lh-instant-articles/
that does seem to work with the TEC custom post types.I ended up using domain.com/?feed=lh-instant-articles
as the RSS feed in the FB config, and so far updated events are appearing in my Production Articles library.dswiese
ParticipantI am using https://wordpress.org/plugins/pagefrog/
And you can see the screenshot that it recognizes, but then it generates this rss feed for my FB page, that doesnt seem to include all those types. Yes, even when a post/event is updated.https://portlandfoodevents.com/?feed=pagefrog_instant_articles
I am aware there is a number mismatch for the event count, but not sure that it matters as even newly imported/updated events dont show up.

ParticipantThanks for the comments and support. Yeah, it may be that it is registered, but its not showing up in the rss feed the plugin I am using creates to import into FB IA publisher.
The interesting thing, is that the plugin admin panel DOES display all the TEC post types and says its activated, but nothing more.I also had a similar experience with https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/automatic-event-post-tagging/ where the plugin wouldn’t register tribe_event as a post type.

ParticipantAndrás – thanks for looking into this some more.
As you may guess by my site structure, we import and consolidate a lot of FB events to TEC, and since it “just works” I probably just hadn’t noticed.I appreciate you taking it to the team to determine if a fix is needed.
If I get some time, I might even check to see if the orig FB importer worked this way, but I don’t believe I would have missed that when researching event calendar plugins. If EA made this change from the FB Importer then it seems like a major (undocumented?) change.
I will keep an eye out for further information.
Thanks,

ParticipantJust getting back to this.
Here is my existing FB page: https://www.facebook.com/pg/pdxfoodevents/events/
As you can see none of these events are actually mine. They are all “added to my page” in Facebook
However, almost all of the near future ones are showing my page as the organizer in TEC.Another example on my site is http://portlandfoodevents.com/event/funky-and-sour-friday-anniversary-night-2/
You can compare the TEC listed organizer to the actual host via the FB link. This has not been edited at all, just imported and published.
My previous EUA setting was: Import events but preserve local changes to event fields.
It is NOW
Overwrite my event with any changes from the original source. Those this was the most recent setting change related to imports, I dont believe it had anything to do with this change.
It def seems to have changed during an upgrade.dswiese
ParticipantThat sounds about right, it seems to “start” every time I load up the Imports page, then eventually it shows “finished”
I will check the most recent imports, and delete the one I think it might be. see if that clears it out.I will work on a full db dump this week.

Participant@cliff thanks for the update! that is the error I am getting, but it wasnt clear if that error was regarding my site, or as you clarified, the site I am importing from.
thanks!

ParticipantThis originally peaked my curiosity, because my site is now the organizer for a bunch of events
http://portlandfoodevents.com/organizer/portland-food-events/ I know I haven’t manually edited.I don’t believe it was changed on the PFE site (in fact I rarely change any information on the site)
These events ARE being imported from my page (not the hosts fb page), would that make a diff?
The only setting that has recently changed for FB imports is that I had to change the Event Update Authority, due to all FB events being dated in 1970.
However, I would assume reimporting all these events would update the organizer?dswiese
ParticipantI am using a shared Namecheap hosting server so no way to reboot that i know of.
I am trying to import https://mwlpdx.com/calendar/dswiese
ParticipantDeleted and reinstalled fresh from the WP repo. no luck
Still says I have an outdated version.dswiese
ParticipantSo just to clarify: somehow the plugin thinks I am running an old version even though I obviously have the url option from 4.5 and am in fact running 4.5.1 and my dashboard shows no upgrade notice.
