ParticipantGeorge,
Thanks. I deleted the page and the page menu item, and added a custom link instead to the menu. It’s faster and more reliable than it was, but navigation is still sluggish. I get the gearwheel on my Mac before it refreshes the page regardless of how I am navigating within the calendar.I, meanwhile, cleaned out most of the past events and emptied the trash, thinking that that would help. It didn’t. Or at least not enough, if it did at all.
To your first question. I found no plugin or theme conflict. The problem remained after all that troubleshooting. The host said that their db server is working and not overwhelmed. He said, however that it was very busy. That’s the end of their support. They just make sure the site is talking to the db server. GoDaddy, btw.
Thanks.

ParticipantGeoff B,
Thanks. I wish you were right. I tried what you suggested. No change. 🙁I started another thread regarding the calendar being very sluggish to not responding at all. It loads the first page, but when you try ANY method of navigating to another one, whether it is by date, “next events”, or the filter options, I get the spinning gear wheel. I don’t know if this is a further degradation caused by the same problem or what. I checked with my host and they said everything is ok on their end and that your forums show a lot of similar complaints since the last upgrade of the calendar.
In addition, I since I did all that troubleshooting on Saturday for this issue, I’m assuming there can’t be a conflict now, since everything is the same.
I should work for you guys, so I can be a calendar guru and get paid for it. 😉 While keeping my site operational . . .
Thanks for your help. What next?

ParticipantI just submitted a reply, but it disappeared. It was long and eloquent, too. 🙁
George,
Thanks for the prompt reply. I should have read the documentation more closely before purchasing Event Tickets Plus. Was it in there? Any chance of a refund or credit? Here’s the thing. We have one event per year for which we sell tickets. The rest are local venues’ events that we list as a community service. These venues have shows that are either free, have a cover collected at the door, a suggested donation at the door, or for which THEY sell tickets.
That said, our entire site is made possible because of your awesome event calendar plugins and add-ons, for which we are very grateful. It makes our job so much easier.
Thanks again,
AnnAnn Hutchinson
ParticipantI activated woo commerce and that didn’t break it, but activating Event Tickets did. Can I just use WooCommerce Tickets without Event Tickets until resolved? That just means it’s not embedded in the event as an interactive, right?
August 22, 2015 at 1:26 pm in reply to: Calendar events won't display after filter bar didn't update #998201Ann Hutchinson
ParticipantJosh,
I can’t believe how long this is taking to resolve. I could have rebuilt the thing by now. 🙁 So, I have the license key for the calendar, but the guy who’s server (Rackspace account) I’m hosting it on purchased it and you don’t have a way to download, then put in key without first purchasing. It expires in December, so I’d rather not pay till I need to.Secondly, where are my actual events (data) stored? I got into the ftp and found the folder for the plugin, but don’t know whether to replace the whole folder or just pieces. And if so, which ones? That’s not a question for the host. That’s something you should be able to answer.
I don’t want to lose the events I have input through September and beyond. The magnitude of this for me is that I just spent two hours retyping events into a blog post and there were 23 just for today. I still need to do that for tomorrow and my users love that they could plan ahead. 🙁 I’m doing all of this in addition to a full-time job. Then I have to do this sort of thing on the weekend, when you have no available support.
If I can’t get this resolved, I may have to start looking for a different calendar. Please be more specific with your help since I have to wait at least a day for every answer. This is way too much downtime. This plugin, for my site, is everything. I can’t even throw more money at it. No one can help me in real time.

ParticipantJosh,
Also, before updating, on the backend of the events I could use the filters I set up in the filter bar plugin to find an event to edit it. Now it says this:Pssst! Looking for the filters? They live in a separate plugin now | Download for free| Dismiss
But that takes me to a WP site, not Modern Tribe, so I didn’t download that.

ParticipantJosh,
Here’s what I got from the text from the support ticket and what they found:As to our prior conversation you mentioned that the calendar wasn’t showing up on the calendar page of http://www.socodancebeat.com. We found that we needed to extend the 30 second execution time in your .htaccess file. After doing so we didn’t get a time out but was getting an error message from the plug that referenced a file that is no longer showing in your content.
I have provided the error message below:
19-Aug-2015 12:17:18 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /mnt/stor3-wc2-dfw1/496998/908895/www.socodancebeat.com/web/content/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Cost_Utils.php on line 163August 17, 2015 at 11:37 am in reply to: Calendar events won't display after filter bar didn't update #996681Ann Hutchinson
ParticipantJosh,
I have had WP Super Cache installed and activated. I just disabled the filter bar. No change. 🙁
AnnAugust 16, 2015 at 9:22 pm in reply to: Calendar events won't display after filter bar didn't update #996522Ann Hutchinson
ParticipantSo, I checked for conflicts by deactivating all other plugins, changing to twenty thirteen theme and dumping cache. Events page still has a temporarily unavailable error. Says it cannot serve that request.
I need my calendar back. The calendar is the whole point of the site and the basis of the organization.
August 16, 2015 at 12:32 pm in reply to: Filter Bar didn't upgrade to 3.11. Entered key from 3.9 purchase. #996492Ann Hutchinson
ParticipantWill upgrading to the business version get me same-day support for issues with Calendar Pro and Filter bar? These are the meat of my site. I depend on them working to stay in business. I don’t mind paying $50 if I can have issues resolved same day. I’m pretty overwhelmed. Then maybe I could find out how to make the filter bar have more logical amounts in the cost category. I mean really. $2-$8 isn’t helpful at all. Thanks for any help you can provide.

ParticipantGeorge,
I moved this to a more logical thread. Didn’t realize I was in the purchase questions area. I have since been able to update to Filter Bar 3.11 to match Calendar Pro, but the calendar page still won’t load. I can, however, get into the events on the backend now. Here’s my system info:
