ParticipantThanks for the update, hopefully FaceBook will realize that it’s only hurting the businesses by not letting us share the information to others!
I’m good, we can close this, thanks so much for your help!

ParticipantI tried importing the webcal URL directly into my Events Calander, with the “webcal://” and also changing it to “https://” but it says “Your preview doesn’t have any records to import” even though I have some FB Events I’m “interested” in.
I also tried clicking on “interested” on new FB Events after I set up the sync with Google Calendar and the auto-import into the Events Calendar, but Google Calendar would not add the newer events from FB. So I deleted the Scheduled Import link, and now whenever I find more FB Events and click Interested on them, I have to remove the added calendar from Google Calendar, copy the webcal link from FB (which doesn’t change) and re-add it to the Google Calendar. Then I have to wait 3 hours or more for FB Events to sync with Google Calendar, and THEN import the pubic Google Calendar link into the Events Calendar as a one-time import.
Kind of a pain, but it works…

ParticipantAh, that makes sense, thank you! That particular event is one I imported from FB into my Google Calendar. The other events that were supplied to me from a client did not have the “Website” at the bottom. But that is because he was creating new events in Google Calendar and not using the “link” feature to input the URL..he was just copying and pasting from the FB Event description.
On another note, here is my workaround on getting FB Events into my Events Calendar:
https://www.technipages.com/add-facebook-events-to-google-calendarI go to all the upcoming cigar events and click “Interested.” Then FB syncs with my Google calendar, which I then have set up in the Aggregator to import daily. Not an easy task, but it works for now.
I did note that I had to change the beginning of the iCal ICS URL from webcal to https to get the import to work in the Google Calendar. And the downside to that is that FB won’t auto-update the Google Calendar when I select Interested on other new events, so I will have to remove the calendar from Google and re-import it each time.

ParticipantOk, thanks! I turned off the Advanced Blocking feature and it seems to be working now.

ParticipantAny word on this? I see that others are having the same issue. Thanks.

ParticipantThe old key you are seeing was deactivated by your team due to other issues awhile back. The license key I’m using now for the 1000 imports is the same one I have been using for the 100 imports for the past few months. I guess it took a day or so to resolve itself?
Either way, it’s working now, thanks!

ParticipantEverything appears to be working fine now….thanks for all of your hard work in resolving these issues!!

ParticipantHello Victor, just checking….is the latest update, 4.5.10, supposed to solve the issues we have all been having with connections and failures?

ParticipantNot sure if you have tried, but I had the same issue, and what worked for me was:
1. Remove the Events Aggregator license key from your WP Admin (Events-Settings-Licenses) and save.
2. Go to The Events Calendar “License Keys” page and click on “Disconnect Now” for the site in question.
3. Go back to your WP Admin and paste the license key back in. Click Save several times (it never saves for me the first time for some reason).Hope that helps!

ParticipantThe database connection issue seems to be resolved, but I’m still getting “Import Failed” errors on about half of my 100 imports. My errors.php log shows a few related to the calendar:
“PHP Warning: vsprintf(): Too few arguments in /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Aggregator/Service.php on line 404”
Line 404 shows return vsprintf( $this->service_messages[ $key ], $args );
And a few “Maximum execution time of 180 seconds exceeded” errors for:
/wp-includes/Requests/Transport/cURL.php
/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Aggregator/Record/Abstract.php
/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/Tracker.php
/wp-includes/class-wp-query.php
/wp-includes/plugin.phpPlease let me know if there is something on my end that I need to do to get the imports working properly.
Thanks!
