ParticipantEwan,
Thanks for getting in touch! This isn’t currently possible using the plugin, but this third party plugin (not supported by us) will allow you to embed TEC widgets using shortcodes.Give that a shot and let me know if it does the trick for you. Thanks! π

ParticipantGreat! Thanks for confirming that this got you sorted. Since it looks like you’re all set, I’m going to mark this thread “Answered” and close it out.
By the way, if you have a minute or two, we would love it if you’d write a few words for us here: http://m.tri.be/lo
Thanks in advance. π
Cheers,

Participantwheretoplaygames,
Unfortunately, you’ll only be able to use URLs based off of your WordPress Site URL. So, if your WordPress Site URL is ‘www.yoursite.com/games/’ then everything else is based off of that, so it wouldn’t be possible to have pages at the parent directory. If you’d like for your calendar to display at the domain root, then I’d suggest moving your ECP install to the root directory.
Hopefully that helps to answer your questions, but let me know if I can assist further. Thanks! π

Participanteandp,
I just had one of my support teammates try to replicate your issue using the latest version of Safari (on mac and an iPhone 4S), while visiting your site and they weren’t able to. Is it possible that you could test on a couple of different devices to see if the issue is still occurring elsewhere? Also, is it possible that you’re logged in on these devices while testing? Maybe try logging out as a regular visitor and see if the issue still persists?Sorry that I’m not much more help than that, but this is definitely a bizarre issue as we weren’t able to replicate what you’re seeing. Give those suggestions a try and let me know what you discover. Thanks! π

Participantcrowesnestcreative,
Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to do that by pasting the following snippet into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/2bf2f68517fb6237a4d3You’ll need to customize it for your specific use, but that should get you started in the right direction. Give that a shot and let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! π

ParticipantKaren,
Thanks for getting in touch! It’s definitely possible that something else is at play here, since I haven’t seen this particular problem crop up before. Have you tried testing for conflicts to see what you discover? I suspect that this might be an issue related to your server config or a plugin conflict, but want to confirm before troubleshooting further. As an addition to my first suggestion, could you also send me the event’s recurrence details so I can test your specific scenario in my environment and attempt to replicate the issue? Thanks! π

ParticipantTom,
Would it be possible to send some screenshots from your device, so I can see the issue in action? Thanks! π-Casey-

Participantnorthcoasttriclub,
Thanks for getting in touch! Since you’ve confirmed that the tooltips work fine in Twenty Thirteen, that tells me that there is something conflicting with your theme or a customization that’s been made in your theme. Upon further inspection, I’m not seeing the ‘<div class=”tribe-events-tooltip”>’ that normally displays after the Event link in month view (screenshot of how it appears in my test environment).Since this is a conflict with something in your theme, I would suggest reaching out to the developer of your theme for further help. We’ll be here to answer any questions they might have as the investigate further.
Thanks! π

Participantclaghorn,
Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to do this by using the Events List widget instead of the Calendar widget. The Events list widget will always show the next upcoming events, regardless of how far in the future they occur.Give that a shot and let me know if it does the trick! Thanks! π

Participantwheretoplaygames,
I think I accidentally replied to your site search question on your other thread, but one trick I use when searching the forums is to actually use Google (sadly enough) by putting ‘site:tri.be’ at the beginning of your search query to narrow your results to only items on our site.We definitely know that our site search is lacking, but hope to make some vast improvements in the coming months. Hopefully my tip above will allow serve as a workaround in the mean time.
Thanks! π

Participantwheretoplaygames,
Thanks for getting in touch! Yes, we are painfully aware of the shortcomings of our site search. π We hope to release some vast improvements to our site in the coming months, so stay tuned! And definitely keep the feedback coming! Now, regarding your issue…if you’d like to use a different URL for your calendar (ex: /calendar), you can change this by going to ‘Events->Settings’ and changing the Events URL slug (screenshot).
If you’d like to make your events display on the homepage, you’d need to use something like this unofficial plugin (not supported by us), which will allow you to use your calendar as the front page of your site.
Hopefully that helps to point you in the right direction, but let me know if you have further questions. Thanks! π
