ParticipantHi again Reid!
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
I put your suggested example above into my theme’s style.css. Unfortunately it did not work.
One thing that puzzles me is, how can a class name contain spaces?
The code I see in the Chrome inspector states:
I didn’t think that class names could contain spaces. 🙂Again, thank you for your effort to try and help out!
Sincerely,
Andreasbodin
ParticipantThank you Reid for taking time to answer and for the tip! Will use Chrome and test your suggestion.
Guess the link to the video never got into your post.

ParticipantI am trying to figure out where I shall do modifications in order to ie get a different font, font color, font size, but it seems that I am a bit too inexperienced figuring it out. 🙂
Do the Events Calendar PRO use the WordPress Theme’s CSS that I install or does ECP completely use its own?
Example: I’d like to change the font for the Event description text and also change the color formatting for different headlines.
Would very much appreciate some guidance to this. Keep in mind that I am no GURU. 🙂
Thanks in advance!

ParticipantHi all,
Now I’ve tried to do the following.
I bought something called MAMP (Macintosh, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and installed it on my MacBook Pro.
I tried the WP migrate DB as Jonah West suggested and it works to some extent. The export works great and the import works great as well.
I can access to website at http://localhost/events and it displays the layout perfect.Where it does not work, is when I click the link to the EVENT CALENDAR, which in URL fashion is http://localhost/events/events.
Now I just get the error message the requested URL was not found on this server. For the record. I can login to the admin panel of WordPress.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thank you in advance!
Sincerely,
AndreasJuly 5, 2013 at 8:45 am in reply to: Suggestion for setting up a TEST/QA environment copy of PROD #53443bodin
ParticipantThank you very much both of you for providing this great information of what I need to consider. I think I’ll have to do a great “change plan” before proceeding. 🙂
Will check out the suggested tools and the WordPress guide.Would I have to buy yet another license if I have a TEST/QA database?
Thanks again guys!

ParticipantHi Barry!
Thank you for taking time to answer.
Your answer partly answers my question. 🙂The thing is that I do not allow anonymous submission of Events in the Community Event. The “user” must be registered as a subscriber.
But when I have the user registered with the role as subscriber, once they have logged on to Community Events they get the Admin Bar at the top, which gives the access to the “Event” tab, and they can add Events that way and there it shows the “Tickets” section. If I disable the Admin Bar, the users cannot access their profile to update ie. their password.
I am not sure that I make myself understandable. 🙂
Sincerely,
Andreasbodin
ParticipantI see the Events listed as expected, with the exception that beneath each Event, there is only “View” and not Edit or Delete.
I had to download a plugin with the name “Capability Manager Enhanced” where I for the role Subscriber had to add enable a capability called “Edit published” in order for the subscribers to WordPress that get access in the Community Events to add meetings.

ParticipantThanks again Barry!
I changed back not that long after I discovered that it did not work. I had promised to have the whole “new” site up and running. I guess that when you did the testing, I had already put it back to as it was when I installed it and then created the redirect function under mysite.com/index.php to redirect the browser to mysite.com/events.
The challenging things is to do the changes when something is in production and used. 🙂
Will keep you posted!

ParticipantHi Barry!
Thank you for taking the time to reply.
I followed the instructions on this page:
http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_DirectoryI only updated the Site Address (URL) and kept WordPress Address (URL) since I kept the core files in the “sub-directory” (/events).
I did go to the Permalinks under Settings and picked another Common Setting and SAVED it. But it did not help anyhow.
Not sure what you mean by “flushed the permalinks”.
Thank you for your willingness to help out!
For the moment being, I went back to as I set it up before putting the “new” site into production, then I only created a index.php file in the root with a header(Location:) redirect to the sub-directory where I installed WordPress.
I would like to move it some day so that it is working as intended.
Sincerely,
AndreasApril 11, 2013 at 12:18 pm in reply to: Community: Users unable to edit or delete their submitted Events #45578bodin
ParticipantThank you Barry!
Well, I admit that I have been testing things back and forth with different plugins to get different functionalities on my WordPress site and even though I have removed/deleted many of them, who know which of them might have modified something which caused The Events Calendar/Community Events to not work with the out-of-the-box of WordPress.
When my testing and configuration of WordPress and it all is done, I will put it into production doing a clean install of it all. 🙂
Thank you again for your efforts and willingness to help out!
Sincerely,
Andreas -
