ParticipantHi Rob!
Thank you for taking time to answer so thoroughly , I appreciate it a lot!
Based on your response, I first thought that WooCommerce might be the thing, but since all that takes place for us, is that we need an Event Registration system so that all attendees have to register in order to be able to attend. Having a ticket is just a “confirmation” of their registration, but the value is also that a “ticket” is sent to the attendee.
Payment is most often being done through transferring between banks and there is no need at this point to use other payment options like accepting credit card.
Well at the Event, people come and just check off that they are there and there is a “check-off” list present.
Since our Event Calendar is used to publish different Events conducted by different people/business, the tickets cannot contain one and the same organizer name, due to that it can differ between Events.
I personally think that you guys are evolving forward in a good way and you are open to improve and listen to input/feedback, which is something that I value as a “customer”. I’ve been looking at a competitor of yours (I think they are) and that is Event Espresso, but I feel that I want to go with you guys instead. 🙂So, in short summary, I’ll think I’ll buy the EDD Tickets and give it a try. Not sure what the biggest difference is between EDD, WPEC or Shopp. They seem to really look the same in the GUI and functionality.
Again, thank you for taking time to answer so quickly! I have to today setup this “registration/ticket” system because we got a bigger Event to be published today. 🙂
Thank you again Rob!
Sincerely,

ParticipantHi there Brook!
Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my question.
Well, I am not a programming GURU, but I am though starting to understand bits and pieces. 🙂 But I will admit that I am not really grasping the reply that you so kindly have given me.
To put it in clear text: I don’t understand. 🙂
But since you write that it will create plenty of programming, maybe I shall let it be and instead put it as an “enhancement” request for the developers of The Events Calendar. 🙂
Or do you think there exists a fairly simple path to take?Sincerely,
Andreasbodin
ParticipantHi Barry!
Sorry for late reply!
I am currently having some issues with copying my database and files in the production environment to my local computer for testing. But I have a feeling that you have given me the solution.
You can CLOSE/RESOLVE this if you want to. But I hope to be able to get it all sorted out pretty soon.Thank you for your assistance Barry!

ParticipantHi again Barry!
The import from your demo site worked perfect!
When clicking the iCal Import the .ics file was downloaded to my MacBook “downloaded files” directory. When double-clicking that file it automatically opened up Apple Calendar and put the Event in the Calendar WITH the correct Event title/name as it was/is represented on your demo site. This would then conclude that it must be an issue with my installation.
Any recommendation where to start investigating this?bodin
ParticipantHi Barry!
Thank you for taking time to check it out.
It seems to be for every Event in the Calendar, but only have to do with my Apple Calendar. If I test with GoogleCalendar it seems to work great.
Maybe it is related to Apples Calendar and not ECP.
I’ll investigate a little more and get back with more info.November 24, 2013 at 10:22 pm in reply to: Published Events not shown in Events list under the Admin login #78412bodin
ParticipantHi @Chris!
I de-activated PRO and then the Events popped-up in the list. 🙂
Re-activated PRO then the same issue was back.
Added the suggested code into the theme’s function.php file and voila! It was solved! 😀Thank you very much for your help @Chris!
You can resolve and close this question.

ParticipantHi again!
I installed the Debug Bar plugin and went to list the Events after I logged in as administrator and clicked Event on the left hand side.
This plugin was great!
It directly gave me debugging information. 🙂It gave me info that there was 1 DB Error and 22 queries.
I am not sure if the solution is propsed, but at the bottom of the debug report it states:
The SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows; check your WHERE and use SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1 or SET MAX_JOIN_SIZE=# if the SELECT is okay
Does this help you guys to provide me with some help?November 20, 2013 at 5:04 am in reply to: Published Events not shown in Events list under the Admin login #77585bodin
ParticipantI checked and had no filters applied.
I even tested to add the “code” to my themes functions.php file and that made my whole website unavailable. 🙂So, I am still hoping for a resolution. 🙂

ParticipantThank you for the tip Barry. 🙂
The things is that most of the Event contributors are adding through Community Events and they have no options to modify this and they also will most likely not understand what that is. 🙂Any other suggestion?
Sincerely,

ParticipantThank you very much Julie!
I am looking forward to see what solution can be provided. 🙂

ParticipantHi Kelly,
thank you for taking the time to respond.
Forgive my incompetence here, but in which file should I add your proposed stylesheet code?September 6, 2013 at 4:06 am in reply to: Event information text is too close right to the edges #64853bodin
ParticipantHi Kelly!
Thank you for taking time to help me out.
The theme name is StartupPro and is created by StartupWP.
I’ve changed the Default stylesheet setting and that changes nothing. The Skeleton Styles really strips the formatting. 🙂Changing the Events template to “Default Page Template” brings back the right side bar and squeezes the month overview. But when I click on an Event, it seems that there are pixels added from the edge that makes the text move away from the edge.
Does this help you figuring out what needs to be done?
Sincerely,
Andreas -
