Andrew BaconParticipant
Update: When I manually created events through the end of this year, the recurring events for the following year showed up, but the recurring events for this year are still missing.
Definitely a bug.

June 29, 2016 at 4:33 pm in reply to: No first recurrence rule available – "Add Another Rule" button non-functional #1133754Andrew BaconParticipantI can’t find anything about this error that has to do with Enfold specifically, either, but it’s a very popular theme, so if it is related, I’m definitely not going to be the only person who experiences this problem.
June 29, 2016 at 4:31 pm in reply to: No first recurrence rule available – "Add Another Rule" button non-functional #1133752Andrew BaconParticipantI reverted to Twenty Sixteen theme and the problem persists. Also deactivated all plugins aside from Events Calendar and Events Calendar Pro and the problem persists. Also deleted all functions from functions.php aside from theme_enqueue_styles and the problem persists.
I get the following error in the console:
ReferenceError: Handlebars is not defined
this.recurrence_template = Handlebars.compile( this.$recurrence_tmpl.html() );That error occurs on Line 27,
wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/resources/js/events-recurrence.js?ver=4.2.1I don’t know about jQuery de-queueing. How can I find that out?
June 29, 2016 at 12:05 pm in reply to: No first recurrence rule available – "Add Another Rule" button non-functional #1133665Andrew BaconParticipantThe problem is that I have no recurring rule dropdown to add the first recurring rule, and when I click “Create another rule” the page is submitted, and no dropdown appears, so, effectively, I have no way to create recurring rules.
Similar to this thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/theme-conflict-venedor-breaking-add-another-rule-button/#post-1133554
I tried this code that I found in that thread in functions.php with no result:
function tribe_snippet_localize_linked_posts() { wp_localize_script( 'events-admin', 'tribe_events_linked_posts', Tribe__Events__Linked_Posts::instance()->get_post_type_container_data() ); } add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'tribe_snippet_localize_linked_posts' );

wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/resources/js/events-recurrence.js?ver=4.2.1Andrew BaconParticipantI should have come back in and let you know I’d solved it but I was crosseyed by then. You know how it is.
Andrew BaconParticipantActually, it was a lot easier than that. If you assign a category to an event, the calendar gives it a class. Crazy easy.
Andrew BaconParticipantIs there a way to add a class to all day events so that I can display them differently on the calendar?
Andrew BaconParticipantNever mind. I set the date wrong. It’s stupid mistake day here at my desk.
Andrew BaconParticipantCinco de Mayo should show up on the 5th of May, for example. Thanks!
April 26, 2016 at 3:10 pm in reply to: Need to migrate events from live site to staging site #1107374Andrew BaconParticipantWill that overwrite any identical events which were originally migrated when the staging site was created? I don’t want any duplicates, but the event history is important.
Andrew BaconParticipantOK, for some reason, that’s working now. Looks like the app was confused (or I was) with all the changing of the dates and whatnot. There must have been an impossible set of dates attached to events at some point – creation date after the current date and choked on a subtraction function that yielded an impossible result or something.
Working with WordPress for 10 years and still confused lol :-/
Andrew BaconParticipantOK, I’m back to the original problem – I got into MySQL and changed all the post dates to Feb 1, and that brought the site back up, at least. I still need to get recurring events to recur past today.
Will try editing each event again.
Andrew BaconParticipantOK, tried to do that, and the entire site crashed.
All I have now is a white screen with the word “error” on every page.
Completely screwed. HELP ME
