The settings are set to 3 months in advance, but events are not being created beyond 7 weeks. Not sure where to start looking for the problem on this one.
It looks like it has something to do with the fact that I’m back dating events. Events are being created through today, but not into the future. I’m working from last month’s calendar, and I wanted the events to be listed starting in February.
It also looks like as I’ve been messing around trying to fix this, all the events have now been scheduled to start today, rather than in February. Not sure how this happened.
Do you have a workaround to get the system synced up?
You can delete the post with the same title in Community Events. Not sure how that ended up over there.
The end date has also been set for every event to the same date as the start date, so now no events are being created. I don’t want to edit each one individually, but am starting to do that anyway. :-/
OK, tried to do that, and the entire site crashed.
All I have now is a white screen with the word “error” on every page.
Completely screwed. HELP ME
OK, I’m back to the original problem – I got into MySQL and changed all the post dates to Feb 1, and that brought the site back up, at least. I still need to get recurring events to recur past today.
Will try editing each event again.
OK, for some reason, that’s working now. Looks like the app was confused (or I was) with all the changing of the dates and whatnot. There must have been an impossible set of dates attached to events at some point – creation date after the current date and choked on a subtraction function that yielded an impossible result or something.
Working with WordPress for 10 years and still confused lol :-/
