    Hi Geoff,

(Following up on previous Question. Geoff sent me code to install to fix this problem)

We installed the code suggested, but I created an Event and bought tickets I still did not get any notification as an Organizer. Is there some additional process to follow or…
    a) Does it only send out notifications periodically, e.g at the end of
every day or week? or should it be instantaneous? Is that why I cannot see
    any notification of sign -ups?
    b) Do you have to do anything to initiate the notification process?
    c) Is there any adjustment on this

    Thanks for your help

    Adrian

Good evening Adrian and welcome back to the Events Calendar Support forum!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I am sorry to hear that the previously shared method did not work.

I would love to help you with this topic.

As I have not found a trace of the previous thread, please know that you can totally do exactly that, we even have not one, but 2 snippets:

    1. https://gist.github.com/cliffordp/4f06f95dbff364242cf54a3b5271b182
    2. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/email-rsvp-help/#post-1141037

Normally, the emails should be sent right away. If they are not, they might be blocked somehow.
You might want to try to install and configure the following plugin to use an SMTP server instead: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!

Hi there, Notifications ARE being sent out, but only to the customer and Admin, but not to the Event Organizer. See comment from my web person below…

Any other suggestions, we prefer not to go to the smtp route if possible

    Adrian

the plugin they sent you added the options to send cc to organizer. The option is checked but the system is not sending the emails.

    Good evening Adrian,

    Thank you for writing back.

By the looks of it, your WordPress installation’s WPmail function do appear to get in the way.
From experience with a large number of similar issue, the SMTP solution is the simplest.

It can even be done using a gmail address.

At the very least, I would recommend trying it out to see if that solves the issue.

If it does and you still do not want to use such a plugin (or a similar one), it will be up to your dev or your web host to troubleshoot what is being blocked when WordPress uses WPmail.

Let me know what you decide.

    Best regards,

    Geoff B.

OK, we set up the smtp address and it tests ok, but mail is not getting through. We got a note from Google that it is being blocked. Not sure why

    Good evening Adrian,

    Thank you for your answers.

So it does indeed look like the emails are being sent.
You will now need to find out why your server is being blocked (at least in Gmail).

I would recommend reading around on the web on that topic and perhaps getting a hand from your web hosting company.

    The most common causes are:

    1. There is a server misconfiguration
    2. Your server is being blacklisted
    3. You need to add SPF records on your server https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/apps/sd4AVnxAjdI

Let me know how that goes.

    Best regards,
    Geoff B.

    Hi Geoff,

We set up the new gmail account and added the spf note. We have done a lot
of research without avail. The Members *are* getting their confirmation of
tickets ordered emailed to them immediately when they order them, so the email is
working as planned but the Organizers get no notifications. We have checked off the “cc to Organizer” button. We are stuck. Any other suggestions?

    Good evening Adrian,

Thank you for writing back and for running those tests.

The next step would require the use of our private replies.

Unfortunately, it seems that you have logged this thread in the pre-sales forum which does not have that functionality.

In the future, I would recommend opening a premium forum thread: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/forum/event-tickets/event-tickets-plus/

Here is what I would need: could you please send me a copy of the latest version of your WordPress theme / child theme via a link to a .zip file link (stored Dropbox or Google Drive) so that I can run some tests on my end ? I recommend a private reply for that purpose.

Please ensure you are using the latest files as found on your actual website.
This way I will get access to any updates or customizations you might have made.

As a first troubleshooting step, could you also please provide us with your complete system information in a private reply using the instructions found in the following link?

    https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

For now, could you please send that through our website’s contact form and reference this thread.

    Hang in there!

    Good evening Adrian,

I will now close this thread because we are continuing the conversation here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/automatically-notifiying-organizers-of-sign-ups/

See you there in a moment.
