Participantwe just installed TEC pro because we were not getting certain features we were interested in and we wanted premium support. When we disable the free plugin we lose events calendar altogether from our WP admin screen. When we have it (free) enabled- we see the plugin- but we are not able to add Venues to events and there are some other odd things happening like the events not saving some of our changes. No google maps happening either because venues won’t save.
There is more that we need to resolve than that like wanting to have header images able the calendar as seen in the provided link- but not getting venues to save is frustrating and we’re afraid having had the free plugin- something is not working right- or they are competing and its causing issues…
example of what we would like the events calendar page to look like- this was done using custom fields and a 3rd party shortcode plugin for TEC by Brian Hogg

MemberHi Ginny.
Thanks for your purchase but sorry you’re having these difficulties!
The header area would be theme-specific, but you might be able to benefit from this widget areas plugin too.
Visiting your site, I did see a Console Error for not having your Google Maps API key entered. You can find out more about this setting at Setting Up Your Google Maps API Key.
Obviously, getting this back to basic functioning is very important and priority here. You should just be able to activate PRO add-on and be good to go from there. Since this isn’t working in your case, I’d suggest following our recommended troubleshooting steps:
There might be some new updates available. Could you please make sure all your Modern Tribe plugins (and WordPress core) are at their latest versions?
Once you verify you’re on the latest versions, please test to see if the issue is still happening for you.
If it is, please follow our Testing for Conflicts Guide (basically switch to TwentySixteen theme and deactivate all plugins and custom code other than Modern Tribe plugins) and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.If it doesn’t, please enable WP_DEBUG and WP_DEBUG_LOG and share any PHP errors you see while changing tickets quantity, navigating your site’s home page, events page, single-event pages, and any other of your site’s pages relevant to this ticket.
Then, please share your System Information (while in Testing for Conflicts mode).
You might also see if you can spot any console errors at your site. (If needed, you may reference our KB article Using Google Chrome Developer Tools.)
Let us know what you find out.
Thanks.

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
