ParticipantHi guys
still looking to resolve the issue i posted about below a couple of weeks ago
i still havent found a solution and will be officially launching soon. the site is now live using the workaround of groundreactiongolf.com/events/photo
as a further piece of info this was the original plugin i had installed and tried before using your setup.
perhaps the main events page was deleted along with plugin if they used the same url/name?
Is there not any way to add in a file or code so that the home events page function works when navigating? The rest is working great!
also a secondary issue – at random times the font of the whole page reverts to a basic times new roman font when im creating or browsing events, also as a guest. Is this a common issue?
Thanks Malcolm

ModeratorHey Malcom,
Welcome back. Let’s see if we can’t get this resolved 🙂
First things first, please run through our Testing for conflicts guide to see if you’re dealing with a theme and/or plugin conflict.
Secondly, I’d recommend installing a database cleanup plugin. You may have some residual code/settings stored in your database that could be complicating things. WP Sweep is a good option for this. As always, it’s recommended you backup your database before running any queries/actions the plugin offers as it’s related to your database.
We don’t have any logged bugs of users reporting similar issues, so this tells me that it has something to do with your site environment, whether it be a conflict with a theme and/or plugin or your database.
Let me know your findings and we’ll go from there. Thank you and have a great upcoming weekend!

ModeratorThanks for the response,
I can’t give you an exact answer as to whether or not those database entries are causing the conflict, but if you haven’t already, back up your database and delete those entries, then check to see if the problem still occurs.
I checked out the previous thread and wanted to ensure that you don’t currently have a page created with the same slug as what you have entered in the Events URL slug field found under Events > Settings > General.
Another recommendation I have would be to read over our New User Primer as it gives a step-by-step breakdown of how to properly install and set up Events Calendar PRO. Lastly, review this KB article on Fixing HTTP 404 errors to see if that is a potential issue.
If you’re still having troubles after all that, reply back and we’ll continue troubleshooting. Thanks again for the response and have a good rest of your Monday.

ModeratorThanks for the response,
Can you visit Events > Settings > Display and change the ‘Default view’ setting to different options and visit your main /events page in between testing each view?
My second recommendation would be to try changing the Events URL slug in Events > Settings > General from /events to something different just in case this is somehow corrupted by the old plugin.
Be to visit your WordPress Settings > Permalinks and hit the ‘Save Changes’ button after doing any of the recommended steps, then visit your /events page to see if it’s working properly.
Other than that, there isn’t much more support I can provide as it appears you’re experiencing a theme and/or plugin conflict which we’re unable to cover per forum rules. Thank you for understanding and best of luck narrowing down the conflict.
