ParticipantI’m using short-codes and the Pro version of the plugin to run two different calendars on a site. The calendars were working fine up until recently. If you go to the calendar for the current month: http://lascolinas.org/lca-calendar/, then events are there; however, if you click on the button under the calendar for the next month – the calendar events disappear. Now, if I refresh the page, they will appear, but disappear when I click on the button for another month. For example, if you go to the calendar for the current month (may) http://lascolinas.org/lca-calendar/, the events are there. Now, if you click on one of the buttons under the calendar (April or June), go to that calendar, then you will see no events populated. Now, if you refresh the page, they will appear, but disappear if you click on the button to go to another calendar. I have the current versions of the plugin running, so what is the issue? Thanks!

MemberHi John!
I’m sorry to know you are having that issue. Let me help you with the troubleshooting.
Could you please first share with us your system information by following this guide > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/ ? We’ll see if there is anything strange that would indicate an error from there.
Please try setting your permalinks structure as it indicates in the following article to see if any difference > https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/permalinks-best-practices/
We always suggest to setup a dev/staging site so you can test things out without disrupting the live site.
If you see no difference, then it could be a conflict with your theme, another plugin or even some custom code. To make sure we are not dealing with a conflict, please go through the steps outlined in our Testing for Conflicts guide and see if you can reproduce the same issue under default conditions.
Let us know how that goes.
Thanks,

MemberHi John,
Thanks for sending over your system information.
I don’t see anything that would indicate an error from there. Your permalinks structure seems fine too. Please try refreshing your permalinks structure to see if any changes (WP Admin > Settings > Permalinks > click Save Changes)
If no changes, then please proceed with the testing for conflicts guide to make sure it’s not theme or other plugin related.
Thanks,

ParticipantSo, I did all this (below) – and, when I switched to the Twenty Sixteen theme and disabled all the plugins, the problem was fixed. Then, I activated the main theme I am using and the problem was back. Does this mean I have a theme problem? If so, how do I fix?
Step 1) Switch to the Twenty Sixteen theme. Go to your site’s WP Admin area. In the left-column menu, click Appearance > Themes. You will see the themes available on your site. Move your cursor over the “Twenty Sixteen” theme, and click “Activate”.
Step 2) Disable all plugins except Tribe Events plugins. In the left-column menu of WP Admin, click Plugins > Installed Plugins. You will now see all the plugins you have installed. Click the checkbox next to every one except The Events Calendar, and any Events Calendar addons like Events Calendar PRO. From the Bulk Actions drop down menu, select “Deactivate” and then click “Apply”.
Step 3) Clear your browser cache, and retest. Once you have followed the steps for clearing your browser cache, go into your site and try to recreate the problem you originally noticed. If it is now fixed, that means there was a conflict. The next step is to find the source of that conflict.

MemberHi John,
Thanks for testing that out.
That means there is a conflict with your theme and our plugin. I’d suggest you get in touch with the theme authors to let them know about this issue so they can offer some insight about it.
Could you please also send us a copy of your theme in a private reply? I’d like to make some tests and see if I can reproduce on my end and hopefully find the source of the problem.
Let us know about that.
Thanks,

ParticipantI meant how do you want me to send you a copy of the theme? Do you want just a blank copy or a backup of my site?

MemberHi John,
We just need a copy of your theme. If it’s too big, you can use a third party service like dropbox or Google Drive and share the link to it here.
Thanks,

MemberHi John!
Thanks for sending the link. It seems you’ll need to grant me access to it. I’ve just sent you a permission request.
Please let me know about it.

MemberThanks John,
I’ve just made some tests with the theme and I’m not able to replicate the issue.
I wonder if there is a theme option that may be causing a conflict, so could you please send us an export of your theme global options? I will import on my local site and see if any difference.
Thanks,

ParticipantAny updates?

MemberHi John!
Thanks for following up with this.
As I’m not able to replicate the error on my end I believe there could be some theme setting involved somehow.
As I last asked, is it possible for you to send us an export of your theme global options so I can import them in my local installation to see if any difference?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Victor -
