Hi Jaime,
I found the alternative method to the FTP so I can work directly within the WP dashboard. My other question at this time is which of plug-ins listed in my Downloads folder do I want or do I want all of them (see image). I ask this specifically because there are two Eventbrite Tickets plug-in listes (Multisite and Personal). I am still working within my staging site.
Thank you!
August 24, 2018 at 11:43 am #1605330Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterHi Caylee,
You will want to download the most recent version of Eventbrite Tickets. The license you download depends on which site you are using this on (whether it is a multisite or not).
Let me know if that answers your question!
Thanks,
Jaime

Is there any way we can hop on a phone call today or Monday? I would like to have to you speak with my Web Marketing Specialist that is working on this issue for me. I think we can resolve this faster via phone if possible.

August 27, 2018 at 12:20 pm #1606929Caylee MiglioriniParticipantHi Jaime,
Thank you for your response. Is there another way to get close to “real-time” assistance?
At this time, I neither able to update any of the Events Calendar plug-ins OR delete them fully so I am at a complete stand still.
Thank you.
August 28, 2018 at 5:29 am #1607460Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterHi Caylee,
Unfortunately at this time, this is the only support that we can provide.
Were you able to figure out which license to use?
Are you able to access FTP in order to manual add/delete/update plugins?
You can also delete the plugins from your WordPress backend.
Let me know how I can assist you next!
Thanks,
Jaime
August 31, 2018 at 12:53 pm #1610982Caylee MiglioriniParticipantHi Jaime,
I have been able to remove and re-upload the Events Calendar plug-ins. Can you send me the pathway/tribe link that I need to use as well as the correct way to link everything back up?Thank you!
September 4, 2018 at 8:25 am #1613067SkyKeymasterHi Caylee,
I will be helping you with this issue going forward.
Were you able to get the plugins updated? If you are still having issues with this, please check out this article on manually updating plugins in WordPress: https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-manually-update-wordpress-plugins-via-ftp/
Next, can you confirm for me that you have gone through the steps in connecting your site with your Eventbrite account, as described here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-eb-tickets/ ?
If you go to Events > Settings > APIs > Eventbrite, do you see a button that says “refresh your connection to Eventbrite?” What happens if you click this?
Lastly, can you share a link to your Eventbrite account that you’re trying to import from?
Thanks,
SkySeptember 4, 2018 at 9:07 am #1613124Caylee MiglioriniParticipantHi Sky,
Thank you for your response. My name is Tina, I am supporting this effort for Caylee at this time. Nice to meet you! Thank you for including instructions/resources for continuing this troubleshooting process.
I have successfully deleted and re-uploaded the plug-ins and updated what I could. I have received a message regarding the license key (see attached screenshots). Can you tell me if this will impede my progress at this time? If so, can you share scenarios needed in order to allow me to proceed?
Many thanks,
TinaSeptember 4, 2018 at 10:01 am #1613280SkyKeymasterHi Tina,
Nice to meet you too!
The messages you are seeing only means you can’t update these plugins on your test site using the regular Update functionality. You just need to download any updated plugins from your account and manually upload via the Updates > “add new” interface, or via FTP.
For the next step, can you verify that you have connected the WordPress site with your Eventbrite account as is described here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-eb-tickets/
Thanks,
SkySeptember 5, 2018 at 8:15 am #1614146Caylee MiglioriniParticipantHi Sky,
Thank you for your response. I have already done the following and still received the messages I sent you yesterday:
“You just need to download any updated plugins from your account and manually upload via the Updates > “add new” interface”
We do not want to make any adjustments to the live site until we have worked through the issues on the staging site.
Before I move on to the next steps you have suggested, I need a solution for the license key issue. Unless I am missing something?
Thank you,
TinaSeptember 6, 2018 at 6:50 am #1615079SkyKeymasterHi Tina,
Can you explain what license key issues you are having? Are you referring to the notifications in your screenshots? Can you confirm that this is on your staging site? If so, you can just ignore these messages.
“We do not want to make any adjustments to the live site until we have worked through the issues on the staging site.”
I’m assuming that we are going to be troubleshooting and testing on your staging site. Until we figure out what issues you are actually having, any steps I ask you to try will be on the staging site.
* Can you verify that you have connected the WordPress site with your Eventbrite account as is described here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/configuring-eb-tickets/
* If you go to Events > Settings > APIs > Eventbrite, do you see a button that says “refresh your connection to Eventbrite?” What happens if you click this?
* Lastly, can you share a link to your Eventbrite account that you’re trying to import from?
Thanks,
