Feature Release

This updated version of The Events Calendar includes a new Events Bar section in the WordPress Customizer.

As always, we recommend updating on a staging site, just to be safe, but it should all be smooth sailing.

The Events Calendar 5.8.0 is only compatible with Events Calendar PRO 5.8.0 and higher.

New features included in this release:

• Added new Events Bar section to the Customizer for control of the Events Bar styles.

✅ Fixed

Bugs that were squashed in this release:

• Corrected instance where the date & time symbols (“@”) are not changing color along with the text.

🔧 Tweaks

A few tweaks we made under the hood:

• Ensured that the Month view date and time default colors match up with the rest.
• Ensured that the Customizer Accent Color defaults to “royal blue” (#334aff).
• Leveraged the new tribe-common Theme_Compatibility.
• Added new hooks to the single event templates to allow more third-party control over content without custom templates.
