Maintenance Release for the Week of 18 September 2017

Today we’re happy to announce the 18th Maintenance Release of 2017. Maintenance Releases are smaller updates between major updates that are mostly comprised of bug fixes, tweaks, and small but meaningful improvements.

The Events Calendar 4.5.13

  • Feature — Add link to the featured image in the Events List widget. New filter introduced to control this: tribe_events_list_widget_featured_image_link (props to @cabadaj007 for the feature request)
  • Feature — Remove France, Metropolitan option from country list to prevent issues with Google Maps API (thanks @varesanodotfr for pointing this out)
  • Feature — Ignored Events will restore previous Status instead of setting to Publish
  • Fix — Patched jQuery Resize vendor library to avoid JavaScript conflicts (props to @britner for the original report
  • Fix — Fixed a typo in the Event List widget options
  • Fix — Addressed some PHP notices that would sometimes emerge in tag-filtered Post lists in the wp-admin. Thanks to @wfsec28 and others in the forums for reporting this!
  • Fix — When “Full Styles” or “Tribe Events Styles” are used, prevent duplicate featured images from showing up in the Twentyseventeen theme. Props to @want2what and others in the forums for reporting this.
  • Fix — Aggregator will no longer update comments while inactive
  • Fix — Avoid issues when REST API archive request parameters are not in the original order (thanks @Nslaver for reporting this and providing a fix)
  • Tweak — Aggregator prevents duplicated Records with the same params from being created
  • Tweak — Aggregator will now allow for some minor shifts in schedule execution time to help distribute requests to EA Service
  • Tweak — Improve Event Aggregator settings texts
  • Tweak — Add actions before and after posts are inserted or updated by Event Aggregator to allow custom functions to kick in: tribe_aggregator_before_insert_posts and tribe_aggregator_after_insert_posts, respectively.
  • Tweak — Allow users to import CSV with Numeric named Categories by using a flag currently: %n (thanks @Shamsi for reporting)
  • Fix — Initialize Tribe__Deprecation on every page.
  • Fix — Prevents breakages resulting from deprecated filter hooks
  • Fix — Prevents resetting selected Datatables rows when changing pages (thanks @templesinai for reporting)
  • Tweak — Added an id attribute to dropdowns generated by the Fields API

Event Tickets 4.5.6

  • Fix – Prevent occasional issue with email content-type not being reset after ticket emails were sent. Props to @jappleton in the forums for reporting this!
  • Fix — Hide unused Back button when moving Tickets to another post
  • Fix — Prevent multiple instances of the “View your RSVPs and Tickets” link from showing on single events (or other ticket-enabled post types). Props to @svkg in the forums for reporting this.
  • Fix — Clear attendee cache when a ticket gets moved to another post
  • Fix — Open the exportable CSV file of Attendees in a new tab to accommodate Google Chrome’s strict handling of file and MIME types, preventing some console errors and notices in Chrome.
  • Fix — Added “View Tickets” link to Custom Post Types when appropriate. Thank you @19ideas for helping identify this
  • Fix — Fix some layout issues with the “Email Attendees” modal in the Attendees list admin view, especially when viewed on phones or tablets. Props to @event-control for reporting this!
  • Fix — Avoid notice-level errors when calling ticket stock functions in relation to events with unlimited stock (props to Lou Anne for highlighting this)
  • Tweak — Documented filter for available Ticket Modules, and used its method instead more places
  • Fix — Initialize Tribe__Deprecation on every page.

Event Tickets Plus 4.5.5

  • Fix – Fix issue where “Who’s Attending?” list would often incorrectly report the number of people attending an event.
  • Fix — Prevent blank option values for fields like radio, checkbox, and dropdown.
  • Tweak — Make the bottom-border on some WooCommerce ticket elements more consistent in color and width. Props to @webidextrous for reporting this!

Eventbrite Tickets 4.4.8

  • Tweak — Adjustments to support Eventbrite packages

Image Widget

Image Widget 4.4.6 shipped on 12 September 2017.

  • New — Added new filter tribe_image_widget_instance_description for more control over how the description field is handled.
  • Fix — Prevent broken HTML in the “description” field that sometimes arose with certain user roles. Props to users @bridgetashley and @JoshRoy spotting this one!
