Maintenance Release for the Week of 17 June 2018

Welcome to maintenance release number 9 of 2018! If this is your first time getting an update from us, maintenance releases are smaller updates between major releases, and are mostly comprised of bug fixes, tweaks, and small (but meaningful!) improvements. We always recommend using a staging site to test these changes before updating on a live site.

The Events Calendar 4.6.19

  • Feature – CSV importer now supports a featured event column
  • Add – Add Eventbrite Icon to Third Party Accounts on the help page
  • Add – Accessibility repair: new title-bar template for loop views included above the filter bar and content containing the page title in a h1 tag.
  • Fix – Accessibility repair: adjust main content container element from div to main.
  • Fix – More robust handling of errors and exceptions during Event Aggregator imports
  • Fix – Ensure that the “Export Events” button is properly displayed in month view when paginating. Thanks to @linpleva, Steven, Will and others for flagging this!
  • Fix – Month view pagination for datepicker formats: YYYY.MM.DD, MM.DD.YYYY, and DD.MM.YYYY. Thanks @netzwerk, @wdburgdorf, @oliverwick and others for notifying us!
  • Fix – Resolved customizer inconsistencies with month/week views and full styles
  • Fix – Check the Events Aggregator license each time the page is accessed
  • Fix – Improve Event Import message responses from Event Aggregator for certain cases where “Unknown service message” would be returned

  • Fix – Correct the “View All” link when using the events month view and plain permalinks. props to Kay and Robert for notifying us
  • Fix – Keep filter bar date when changing from month to list view, with all datepicker formats. Thanks to Caio for reporting this!

  • Tweak – Modify the default values for the CSV settings if there’s no EA license
  • Tweak – Added classes to meta output in Single Event meta templates to facilitate customization
  • Tweak – Add the tribe_aggregator_async_insert_event filter to allow overriding the Event Aggregator asynchronous event insertion
  • Tweak – Add the ‘tribe_aggregator_async_import_event_task filter to allow overriding the Event Aggregator asynchronous import task
  • Tweak – Added venue google map link to events in Day view
  • Tweak – Renamed the Time zone mode option “Use the local time zones for each event” to “Use manual timezones for each event” (thanks @hikeitbaby for the suggestion)

  • Tweak – Add tribe_events_month_has_events_filtered function and filter to see if there are events on a certain month, with filters (categories, search)
  • Language – 68 new strings added, 406 updated, 3 fuzzied, and 37 obsoleted

Events Calendar PRO 4.4.28

  • Add – accessibility repair: new title-bar template for loop views included above the filter bar and content containing the page title in a h1 tag.
  • Fix – Category Title in Photo View Loses Parameter After Navigating Previous/Next
  • Fix – Make sure the recurring events series “after” field is not empty and a valid number. Thanks @versi for flagging this!
  • Fix – Resolved customizer inconsistencies with month/week views and full styles
  • Fix – Resolved the datepicker losing state after visiting an event and hitting the “back” button on week view. Props to Joel for reporting!
  • Tweak – Accessibility repair: heading hierarchy improvements throughout.
  • Tweak – Accessibility repair: make sure all elements have unique id attributes.
  • Tweak – Accessibility repair: remove redundant tab stops on feature image links.

Event Tickets 4.7.4

  • Fix – Properly calculate existing stock for RSVPs. Thanks to @afplct, @jacob, @dimaginet and others for flagging this!
  • Fix – Properly update attendees transient when checkin/unchekin an attendee, in order to see changes immediately. Thanks to @newcollegeofflorida and @gschnoor for flagging this!
  • Fix – Make sure the ticket creation is compatible with object cache. Thanks @zanart, @bethanymrac, @vividimage and others for flagging this!
  • Fix – Display a notice if the user accesses the tickets page and doesn’t have tickets
  • Fix – If the ticket is a WooCommerce product and has a featured image, display it in the email
  • Fix – Make sure the Paypal orders are being recorded. Thanks @burlingtonbytes for flagging this!
  • Tweak – Added new action, tribe_tickets_ticket_email_ticket_top, to the tickets email template
  • Tweak – Changed tribe_tickets_email_include_event_date filter default value to true. Now event date shows by default in RSVP ticket emails. Thanks @melvidge for the feedback
  • Tweak – Replaced start date in the RSVP non-attendace email template with full event schedule details
  • Tweak – Changed shortlinks to use https in Event Tickets welcome screen
  • Language – 2 new strings added, 66 updated, 0 fuzzied, and 1 obsoleted

Event Tickets Plus 4.7.4

  • Fix – Fixed an issue with new “Enable QR codes for tickets?” option being only visible if WooCommerce was active
  • Language – 2 new strings added, 1 updated, 0 fuzzied, and 0 obsoleted

Eventbrite Tickets 4.5.1

  • Add – A message before the Eventbrite metabox and hide the fields if there the app has not been authorized to import
  • Tweak – The EB 4.5 migration process to better detect events for migration and insure all fields are migrated
  • Tweak – Only enable Live, Draft, and Canceled status for Eventbrite events
  • Tweak – Make the default selection of no for registering an event with Eventbrite
  • Fix – Setup the text domain to enable translation of activation errors
  • Fix – Discount link under Eventbrite Shortcuts
  • Language – 16 new strings added, 119 updated, 0 fuzzied, and 5 obsoleted
