Maintenance Release for the Week of 11 November 2018

Welcome to maintenance release number 16 of 2018! If this is your first time getting an update from us, Maintenance Releases are smaller updates between major releases, and are mostly comprised of bug fixes, tweaks, and small (but meaningful!) improvements. We always recommend using a staging site to test these changes before updating on a live site.

To see all of the changes included this Maintenance Release, check out the changelogs for all updated plugins below:

The Events Calendar 4.6.26

  • Add – Added Tribe__Admin__Notice__Marketing class for bespoke marketing admin notices
  • Add – Added TRIBE_HIDE_MARKETING_NOTICES constant that, if defined to true in your site’s wp-config.php file, will hide all marketing admin notices
  • Fix – Fixed the setting-up of strings in the Tribe Bar datepicker to ensure they’re translatable into languages other than English
  • Tweak – Improved the legibility of text in Featured Events that are in the Event List widget
  • Tweak – Clarified a number of maps-related settings strings
  • Language – 1 new strings added, 22 updated, 1 fuzzied, and 0 obsoleted

Events Calendar PRO 4.4.35

  • Add – Add filter tribe_events_pro_show_recurrence_meta_box to control the render of the recurrence meta box
  • Fix – Fixed some HTML in the recurrence-building section of the event editor so it’s valid and doesn’t create issues with other HTML on the page
  • Fix – Fixed the setting-up of strings in the Tribe Bar datepicker to ensure they’re translatable into languages other than English
  • Tweak – Prevent certain geolocation-related prompts from showing if The Events Calendar’s built-in Google Maps API key is being used

Event Tickets 4.8.4

  • Fix – Registration form from hiding with multiple RSVP tickets and one of them being set to quantity zero, thanks pixelbrad for reporting
  • Fix – Remaining ticket quantity counter for tickets with shared capacity and capped sales, thanks for the report mirre1 and pixelbrad
  • Tweak – Adjust tooltips next to the ticket end-sale dates for improved clarity based on post type

Community Events 4.5.14

  • Add – The email alert now displays a list with all organizers. The venue and the Organizers are now linked to their respective edit pages. New action hooks added before and after the email template. The email now indicates if an event is recurring
  • Fix – Ensure that the form won’t submit if new Venues or Organizers are being created on the form but the form’s missing the required Event Title and Event Description fields
  • Fix – The ‘Show Google Map’ and ‘Show Google Maps Link’ fields are now disabled when the tribe_events_community_apply_map_defaults filter is being used
  • Tweak – Allow the HTML <img> tag in the Community Events submission form
  • Tweak – Add a “Lost password?” URL to Community Events login forms so that users can reset their passwords, just like they can via other WordPress Core login forms (thanks to Karen White for suggesting this!)

Eventbrite Tickets 4.5.6

  • Fix – Prevent the “Use image on Eventbrite.com?” checkbox from showing up on non-Event post types
  • Tweak – Update Eventbrite branding images to use their new logo and wordmarks

GigPress 2.3.22

  • Fix – Allow GigPress constants to be overridden if new constants are defined in a callback to the plugins_loaded action hook. Thanks @thomasdebruin for submitting this fix!
