Hey friends! Today’s Filter Bar update clarifies the live refresh behavior and respects style settings.

⚠️Heads up: if you are using The Events Calendar or Events Calendar Pro, you’ll need to match versions. The Events Calendar 5.0.2, Events Calendar Pro 5.0.2, and Filter Bar 4.9.2 work together.

This is a minor release that should be smooth sailing when updating. That said, it’s always a good idea to backup your site and test changes in a development environment before installing this on your live site, as you would with any other WordPress update.

Let’s get to the changelogs:

  • Version – Filter Bar 4.9.2 is only compatible with The Events Calendar 5.0.2 and higher
  • Tweak – We updated the conditional checks for the new live refresh radio controls. We renamed the “Live Refresh” option in the calendar display settings to “Filter Activation” and moved it into the Filter Bar settings at Events > Settings > Filters. We also changed this option to radio buttons that enable live refreshes or wait for the submit button to display filters.
  • Fix – Filter Bar was determined to load Full Styles, disagreeing with web administrator settings. We’ve ended force-enqueuing Tribe Styles when Filter Bar is loaded.
  • Hooks – https://docs.theeventscalendar.com/reference/since/events.filterbar4.9.2/
  • Language0 new strings added, 12 updated, 0 fuzzied, and 0 obsoleted
