    Hi Geoff

Thanks for the lightening fast reply. Your assumption is mistaken (unfortunately for me). I am not in Long Beach CA but I just made up a generic example because had I named my fictional yoga studio after a local suburb in Johannesburg South Africa it would have made no sense to most people 🙂

What it does not support, however, is making that organizer the default for when that specific person submits future events to the calendar.

I dont mind if the organisor is not default for when that specific person submits in future. But I would like for that specific person to NOT be able to assign other organisors. The owner of Long Beach Yoga Studio should not be able to assign Beverly Hills Yoga Studio to her events.
And the owner of Beverely Hills Yoga Studio should not be able to assign Long Beach Yoga Studio as the orgnanisor of his events.

Is my requirement supported? And if not, presumably a decent dev can configure it to work that way?

    Hi Andras,

The RSS feed works now, but it still comes up with the description. I just want the title and start date to be visible .Please see the link below to preview the Feeds. I can confirm that there is no security plugin and the first snippet been added to the functions.php

    Hi Andras,

I have added the codes to functions.php, but I receive an error in the feed like ‘No RSS feed found’

    Hi

Just a follow up to this same question. If you suggest that customizing the RSS feed is the best course of action to display events in my newsletter, please then also advise if its possible to output only the event start date in the feed (without end date and without start or end times)?

If so perhaps you can give me a bit of a guidance on this?

    thanks

    Hi Geoff

Thanks very much. I’ll get a developer to apply the changes based on your instructions.

A slightly different question but I’ll post it on the same thread because it also relates to the way the category selector on the filter bar display so its kind of connected: I would like to control the order in which categories are shown in the filter bar. I think its currently alphabetical but I would like to override this.

How would you suggest I go about it? Is it the same story as your previous answer in that I need to customise the /tribe-events/filter-bar template?

    Hi Geoff

Thanks very much for your response which is most helpful.

Since I posted the question I’ve actually purchased Event Calendar Pro (which I’m very happy with). You mentioned that I will need to have some kind of custom field added to events to establish whether they should display fully or not. That makes perfect sense. If I’m not mistaken, the Event Calendar Pro does allow for custom fields.

In this case, would I still need the Community Events Add-on? If so why?
(assume that I do not need to allow user to submit events from the front end. I am happy for them to email me their event and I load the events myself manually)

    Thanks

    Yoni
