ParticipantThanks so much for your response. You’re exactly right – the problem is that for step #4, the filter bar is simply gone. I’m feeling like this is probably too complicated to sort out without both of us looking at Apppresser… so unless a solution springs to mind to you, let’s just let this go. Just thought I’d put it out there in case you might have an easy answer for me 😉

ParticipantYes I can do some basic coding so if you could point me in the right direction that would be amazing!

ParticipantYou’re totally right! It was a cache issue! Thanks so much.

ParticipantGeorge you are a legend. Thank you so much for your help with everything today.
Your article explains how to preserve HTML by using the excerpt field… but I tried using a shortcode there the same way, and it doesn’t work.
Here’s what I’m trying to do: I’m hoping to use a star rating plugin (“Reviewer”) to rate venues, and I’ll want to use that plugin’s shortcode to have a venue’s star rating appear in each event excerpt (in list view). Is this possible?

ParticipantOMG now I can’t recreate the problem either. Who knows. Sorry about that and thanks for your help!

ParticipantYou are right! I see now that the code worked perfectly in Chrome (on my Mac and my Android).
However it doesn’t work in Safari (Mac) or HTC Internet (Android) – see screen grabs… So weird!

ParticipantThanks for replying! But sorry, it didn’t work…
I’ve attached a screen grab of my style sheet.
I want to remove the “Recurring Event (See all)” text from:
The individual event pages: http://wheretogokiddo.com/event/creating-together-drop-in-program-2015-10-26/2016-07-11/
And the list view: http://wheretogokiddo.com/search/
Thanks again!

ParticipantPS If it’s possible to have the formatting come through but ALSO have a “find out more” link at the bottom of the excerpt so it’s not too long, I’d be interested in that fix too. Thanks again. 🙂

ParticipantI’m not comfortable messing with the code so I think I’ll have to wait for the update. Hope it’s soon!! Thanks for the reply.

ParticipantThanks! This answers my question – if I can’t have a series of events change after a certain date and the earlier events remain as they were, then my “(a)” question above is moot. I’ll just extend the events month by month using “edit series.” However, I am wondering: what is the purpose of “edit future events” and how should it be used? If you can’t change a series halfway through, doesn’t that mean that “edit future events” serves the same function as “edit series”? Thanks again.

ParticipantHi again – I see in a thread below this may be related to time zone issues. FYI I am using the Toronto Canada timezone. Thanks!
