    Ah…. I knew I wasn’t crazy!

thank you for following up. I tried using those plugins and to be honest, because of just how many transient lines there were (and I mean, like 12K lines!!!) the plugins would choke. I found a code option to run in MySQL to clear them out so for the time being, I think it may be okay. But this is a BIG issue – it kicked 2 of my sites off line by the host who would NOT put them back until “something” was fixed – they didn’t say what it was but we found it.

I suspect many people have / will have this issue so I look forward to your fix. Thank you.

More so confirmed, after having DB reviewed, it’s WAY big and we see lots of “_transient” entries. I believe this is related to the plugin. I will be sharing privately the system info next. Thanks.

Thanks Jaime, but this didn’t quite answer the question. Let me know if I need to provide more details. Sadly I can’t access the backend of the site to get a report on the plugin, perhaps if the site is reinstated soon I can.

That said: did I not see that there was a problem with this plugin leaking into the db and causing a bloated issue and slowing sites down? I could have sworn I saw that in past threads.

Are there certain areas of the DB we can look (I have access to that) to see if this plugin is affecting it? Or a search to see if there are too many of a specific call (eg. lots of transients) that would tell us what is happening here?

Is there a specific “Events Calendar Plugin DB Cleanup” process or plugin to use?

We were told our public_html/index.php is the culprit of the resource hog – does that help at all?

If I could get the system info to share would that help? Is there a way to get that info w/o having access to the WP admin?

Please advise, thank you VERY MUCH!

Sorry your answer is quite confusing.

    (1) Concerning the text added to the email I was referring to this threat.

    Post Link:https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/ticket-sales-thank-you-page/#post-1217135

Ian asked me to open a new thread with the question

    (2) Concerning the change of the text for RSVP it is where one can make
the reservation in the front end see screenshot

    (3) Thats the same place as in (2) whre I want to change the table color.

    Thanks for your help,

Thank you. Sorry about the multiple questions.

The plugin solution worked, so thanks! We’ll wait for the release of the next plugin so we can move that RSVP section. Thank you again!

The edit caused this to go into the wrong forum, I am marking this as resolved since it won’t allow me to delete, edit or move it. Thanks and sorry.

Thanks – last question then: With the RSVP functionality now added after we split up all these events, is there a way to have an email sent to someone specifically whenever an RSVP is added? Can we designate say, an admin in charge of the RSVPs so they get a ping whenever someone confirms they are attending? Thanks!

I guess this works. So actually, if we have recurring events (with say, 20 in the series) we’d need to “edit single” for every single one to break them out separately so we could use the RSVP option? There is no way to go in and en masse say, “break these all up separately”? WE’d have to literally go into EACH instance to break it up?

If that’s the case, it may actually be quicker to add the overall event (moving forward) as a recurring event, then go back to each one and edit it w/o even making changes and just resave it to break it out – rather than singularly adding each event on its own. yes?

    Thanks.

Thanks Casey: I was still more so looking for a way to edit multiple events once imported, but lets try this a different way / similar question: How can I set this up so each imported event knows to show the actual map of the organizer? Is there a column in the csv to add and what should that show? Show map and then a “1” or a “yes”?

    Thanks.

well, we were able to import dates (though I will say, it’s pretty wonky and sometimes didn’t work – had to try it a few different times).

But this brought up another question.

THe event information imports fine, BUT The event org and venue isn’t working. Since the Event organizer and venue is the same for all 100 or so events, can I just import all the event and then at one time via the backend, assign the same organizer and venue for each event at ONE time?

I tried to do quick edit with multiple selections, but that didn’t work. Any other ideas?

I had imported the same CSV with all the event / organizer / venue info separately as suggested, but it didn’t work.

    Please help, thanks!

Found this, is this it? If so, why is there all this information about not being able to do it now and beta, etc?
