This is a great idea. I’ve posted it here:
http://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas/suggestions/3908711-notify-event-creator-when-event-is-postedMikeParticipantSure thing. That would make me a beta tester for v2 and v3!
MikeParticipantI have the same problem, for a theme I’ve built myself. No matter how many times I put in a new venue location, the event title is substituted instead. Chirocare’s screenshots match mine.
Any thoughts on next steps?July 24, 2012 at 2:08 pm in reply to: Anonymous users must log in…permalinks does not cure it #22664MikeParticipantNo problem. In fact, I’ll email you a login so you can check it yourself.
Thanks!July 19, 2012 at 9:58 am in reply to: Anonymous users must log in…permalinks does not cure it #22401MikeParticipantI’m having a similar problem. Logged in users have no problem, but anonymous events do not carry through venue and organizer information AND they create a second event with 01-01-1970 as the date.
When I was using the Gravity Forms work around, I had the same problem.
I am using a custom theme that I designed from the ground up, and it is already operating for a client, so it is not as if I can just turn off the theme or change the permalink structure.

Any help available? Unless I can get the anonymous submissions problems fixed, Community Events is pretty much useless for me.May 20, 2012 at 7:41 pm in reply to: Render "Add" form in custom page template/no page template #19428MikeParticipantYes! Still very much an issue. I’m holding up adding to a set of sites until this is resolved.
May 12, 2012 at 8:06 am in reply to: Render "Add" form in custom page template/no page template #19077MikeParticipantI’m having a similar problem. So does that mean you can’t render the add event on a customized template?
MikeParticipantThe thing is, that strtotime() works in the $end_date but not $start_date. Any thoughts?
MikeParticipantJonah, here’s the original code:

Strange, but now the tax_query works, but the $currentdate still does not advance with the strtotime() modifier.
Thanks for your help!MikeParticipantJonah, I’m running in a sandbox now, so I’ve entered in specific events in advance to test things out – so I did have ‘theater’ terms events. Taking out the tax_query, I now get everything, but the start_date is not advancing one day as the strtotime() function says it should.
Thoughts?
November 18, 2011 at 12:37 pm in reply to: Events not showing when clicking into event from Calendar view #11291MikeParticipantRunning a new theme is not an option, but I decided to go about comparing the theme files between the site that works and the site that does. (BBEdit is awesome for this task)
The problem turned out to be some legacy code in the header of the non-working site that called the loop to create my Facebook meta files. I removed that hidden loop and Voila! Everything worked.
Whew.
Thanks for the help.

Without knowing exactly what Kylie changed, I’m not sure what I’m looking for.
November 12, 2011 at 2:25 pm in reply to: Events not showing when clicking into event from Calendar view #11005MikeParticipantI’m having a similar problem: But it gets worse.
I have two sites with (what I remember as) the exact same setup. One site works fine, the other has the blank event problem. Also, the site with the blank event problem is also not allowing a second loop using get_posts().
The site that works: http://www.roscoeviewjournal.com/calendar
The site with tbe problem: http://www.centersquarejournal.com/calendar
MikeParticipantThat helped a great deal. What I learned, after some tinkering, is that I can’t use query_posts() if I want to run a loop on the same page as TEC. So, my work around was to use get_posts (). Worked like charm. Here’s the reference if anyone wants it.
