ParticipantPerfect, thank you!!!!

ParticipantHi Reid:
one more thing I just noticed:
http://fewjapan.com/event/few-summer-wine-sampling-with-table-mountain-and-kimono-wine-bar-and-grill/
the ical and google cal links are weird, too. they should just be regular links, like the rest of the site, but they have this grey background…can you tell me the css to get rid of this, too? then I’ll drop it into the child theme stylesheet and hopefully that’ll do it.thanks,
TerriTerri
ParticipantHi Reid:
That did it! I just needed to add it to the child style sheet, not the red.css one.
what a relief!
thanks,
TerriTerri
ParticipantHi, do you have any other suggestions? I’m getting a bit desperate because the client is pretty peeved with this – they have events coming up that they can’t promote now.
thanks,
TerriTerri
ParticipantHi Neil:
Thanks for your note. I took out the text-shadow and changed the white text to black, but there’s no change in the Events Calendar event posts – the default is still the white shadowed font.
the thing that I ca’t understand is, if the css is taken from the theme, why did it suddenly change: I haven’t changed the theme. anyway, what else can I change to solve the problem?
thanks,
TerriTerri
ParticipantNever mind – I just figured it out, I need to renew the license.
Terri
ParticipantHi:
How do I remove the pink dashboard error message, that simultaneously tells me to update now and, when I click the update now link, it says that the plugin is at the latest version?
thanks,
TerriTerri
Participantthanks folks: actually, I couldn’t figure out where the original post was, but I did find this comment that gave the answer, so here it is for other folks who need it:

Figured it out myself, and then later saw that the similar fix was already posted in the support forum too. As usual, I spoke before I looked. In the file “events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php”
Delete line 51:
if( tribe_is_multiday( $post->ID ) || !$event->AllDay ) {
echo ‘ – ‘. tribe_get_end_date($post->ID);
}Hope this helps.
…………………..I’d only add that the complete path to the file is:
wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/views/events-advanced-list-load-widget-display.php
thanks!

ParticipantHi Barry:
I did this and it worked! I no longer see the error message. although one related question: where can I put CSS changes that will stop them from being overwritten when I upgrade the plugin?
thanks,
TerriTerri
ParticipantHi Joyce:
I decided to delete the post, delete the venue, and re-post the whole thing, and the maps are showing up now. not sure what happened. will keep an eye out if this happens again and ask for more help.
Thanks very much!
best,
TerriTerri
ParticipantHi Joyce:
Sorry I missed Jonah’s response. Is there a way to track my forum posts?
I just stepped through all of your suggestions and the problem is still there.
1. Are you running the latest version of WordPress?
yes, I’m running WP 3.4
2. Are you running the latest versions of our plugins (2.0.7)?
yes, I’m running EVP 2.7
3. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to rule out a conflict?
I deactivated everything except The Events Calendar and TECP.
4. Have you tried reverting to the Twenty Eleven theme to see if it’s something with your theme?
Yes, I did.
5. Try setting your permalinks to ‘postname’ in Settings > Permalinks?
I set my permalinks to post name.
6. Try refreshing your permalinks by visiting Settings > Permalinks (it does it automatically)?
I changed .htaccess so that permalinks reset automatically.
7. Try increasing the PHP memory for your website: http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/?
I added the script code to my config.php fileI am not a php dev at all, so not sure what to do next: the problem is random, but if my client happens to have it it’ll be a big issue, because they are not tech savvy at all and events are the bread and butter of the organization.
I would be happy to give you the login and let you see what’s wrong.
thanks,
Terri

ParticipantHi: I’m chiming back in here because the same problem is happening: I have a one-time event and while I have Show Google Map checked, it’s not showing in the ECP post, here:
http://fewjapan.com/event/cheese_wine/What should I do to fix this?
thanks,

ParticipantHi Jonah and Rob:
sorry it took so long to experiment with this – I took out just the ‘important’ – now all of the events have red tooltip backgrounds, including the ones that should be blue.
it’s kind of frustrating: it was working beautifully before we went live, but now it’s just confusing.
what should I try next?
Here’s the code in events.css as it is now, btw:
/* Below are custom css added to do blue colors for non FEW events */
.tribe-events-calendar .cat_non-few-event a {/*this is for link color on calendar page*/
color: #000099;
}.cat_non-few-event .tribe-events-tooltip .tribe-events-event-title {/* this is for tooltip on calendar page*/
background: #000099
}
.cat_non-few-event .category-meta a {/* this is for category link color in single event page*/
color: #000099;
}what should I do to fix this?
thanks for your help,
best,
TerriTerri
Participantso, do I remove the important?
thanks
Terri
