ParticipantHey Josh,
We do two events per weekend, so only showing five cuts out quite a few events from the calendar each month. I am afraid people will miss some events if they can’t see them on the calendar.
Thanks for the help!

ParticipantJosh,
Thank you for the response. Unfortunately, that did not work.
The code that I am using is “[tribe_mini_calendar category=”bud-light-trail-tournament” count=”10″]”
Thanks again.

ParticipantThe theme developer has solved the issue with the following code:
“hi davis, can you try this code instead.
http://pastebin.com/wwfHBLrkit seems the plugin is prevent any other themes / plugin to extend Array on javascript. previously i try to change our JavaScript function name that related to array extending. and now we not extending javascript array anymore. but use normal function. hopefully it can work now.
Thank you”
Hopefully this will be a permanent fix. Thank you again for all of your help!
I am sooooooooooo happy the map view is working now!

ParticipantGeoff,
Thank you for the response. Yes, I am using the default events template. I apologize for not stating that in my last reply.
The plugin developer sent the following replies (maybe they will help to solve this):
“hi thedaviseffect, we see this error : TypeError: g.markers[i].setMap is not a function tribe-events-ajax-maps.min.js:1:2791
you can try to ask author of those plugin. they may have clue what happening. from what we know, its not file on our themes. we will only able to provide support if the problem is on our themes end.”
And then another:
“hi davis, after looking some referrence about problem you having, it seems we have similiar javascript file between plugin you using with ours themes. one of us need to change one code that causing problem, well instead you going back forth to your plugin developer, you can try to use this code : http://pastebin.com/zXGEhJQD
and put it on jkreativ themes folder > public > js > internalmin > jquery.jcommon.jsif you are using cache plugin, try to disable it first, and try to clean your browser cache. and let us know the progress.”
I copied the code they provided, but it did not work.
Thanks again for your help. I will be launching the website in the next few days. Hopefully we can get it figured out before it goes live.

ParticipantThank you Brian! I have no idea what that means. I have posted the info you gave me on the theme help forum to see if they will help.
Is that the only think that you found that could be causing the conflict?

ParticipantThis shortcode achieves what I am trying to do:
[event_embed from=”2015-01-01″ tags=”2015-blt-arkansas-south-division”]
If anyone has any other methods, I would love to hear them. Thank you!

ParticipantJosh,
Thanks for the reply, and I apologize that I do not have the experience or knowledge to answer my own questions.
I have no idea how to customize or create a new template, so I am afraid that won’t work for me unless someone is willing to write the code and directions out of the goodness of their heart (half joking).
I have changed the shortcode to the following: [tribe_events_list tags=”2015-blt-rayburn-division”]. I removed the “bud-light-trail-tournament” category from the shortcode, so only the upcoming Rayburn division events are listed, instead of all 60 events in the Bud Light Trail category. The issue is that only the upcoming events are listed. I really, really need the past events to be listed together with the upcoming events for our customers (without having to manually make a list, and then manually update it if something about the event changes, which happens quite frequently). The automation of listing the events (because we have so many) is a major reason for why I bought the plugin.
I tried [tribe_events_list tags=”2015-blt-rayburn-division” from=”2015-01-01″], but it did not list the past events.
I also tried [event_rocket_list tags=”2015-blt-rayburn-division” from=”2015-01-01″ operand=”and”], but that does not work, either.
QUESTION 1: Is there no shortcode available, whether from Events Calendar Pro, or Event Rocket, that will list all events for a particular category/tag together, regardless of the date?
QUESTION 2: If there is no shortcode solution, how would I go about finding (hiring) someone that could make this customization for me?
Thank you again for your patience and help. My fingers are crossed!

ParticipantMy settings are also set to show the map view, and it did work before the update. I get a 404 error on the map and week pages now.
DAVIS
ParticipantMy map view is also not working after the update. Neither is my week view.
DAVIS
ParticipantJosh,
I deleted and reinstalled both plugins and the shortcode is working again! Awesome – thank you!
So, back to my original post subject…
I made a couple of screen shots to try and show what I am wanting to achieve.

Pleeeeeeeeeease tell me this is possible!
DAVIS
ParticipantP.S. I am at a complete stop until I can get this working.
DAVIS
ParticipantJosh,
Nothing above worked. The shortcode is still not working.
Will deleting the plugin files affect all of my events? I have done weeks worth of work setting up each event with the proper links and embeds, and losing them would be a huge setback.
Should I delete the plugin through the WP plugins page?
Thanks for the help.
DAVIS
ParticipantJosh, that did not work. None of the shortcode is working after the update:
[tribe_mini_calendar category=”bud-light-trail-tournament”] – was working before the update; now only the code shows
[tribe_events_list category=”bud-light-trail-tournament”] – only the shortcode shows on site
Also, none of the Event Rocket code is working either.
Here is the chronology of what I did:
1) Downloaded the pre-release 3.10 version (of calendar and calendar pro) through my account on here
2) Installed on my local machine (that is where I am building the site)
3) My “Plugins” page showed that PRO still needed to be updated yesterday, so I did that
4) Shortcode stopped workingThe events located at “domain/events/” are working correctly.
It is very possible (and probable) that I did something wrong, or missed something. Everything was working before the update.
Thanks again for your help!
