I just fixed this issue (sort of).
Still can’t get the next/previous links to show up on single day lists, however in your Reading Settings in WordPress, there is a section that says:
Blog pages show at most X posts
I had mine set to 10. So, I set it to 50 and now all of one day’s events show up in that day.
February 23, 2012 at 8:21 am in reply to: Help with "next" & "previous" links on Archive Pages #15553LynneMemberOkay, not all of the code showed up. Guess only a tags are acceptable. Anyway, if you search for ” // day view doesn’t have a grid ” on list.php, you’ll see what I’m referring to.
February 23, 2012 at 8:20 am in reply to: Help with "next" & "previous" links on Archive Pages #15552LynneMemberI’m having this same problem.
When you view by a particular day, if that day has more than 10 events, 11-x do not show, and there are no previous/next links. When I look at Firebug, the code is there but it is greyed out (as if deactivated), however there are no styles set to display: none.
I’ve looked at single.php and see the previous/next links at the bottom, so I know they are in there.
In list.php, there is a section that is commented about day views that I’m wonder is effecting it (not sure if code below will show up…)
<a class='tribe-events-button-on' href='’>
<a class='tribe-events-button-off' href='’>LynneMemberI’ve noticed that the date in Quick Edit view is not the event date but the date the event was initially created. That would be very helpful to incorporate into the next release so you don’t have to fully open the Edit screen to change an event time or day. (Plus it’s not very intuitive)
LynneMemberAwesome, thanks. I’ve kind of given up on it after much fiddling around, but I know the client would Really like this, so any help is very much appreciated.
LynneMemberThe reason why I want it to default to April (and not just link to a calendar page with April shown) is because when I view the events by category, my theme puts the link to the main calendar page as a thumbnail link in the title:
Calendar of Events › Housing
I believe it’s a theme issue and not an Events Calendar Pro issue, but I could be wrong.
If I just specify h1.title a to display: none, then I’m still left with “> Housing” and I don’t want to have that arrow there.
So, I need to either figure out how to get rid of the arrow or how to set the calendar default to April.
February 2, 2012 at 2:49 pm in reply to: Change date format to remove year and put date on one line and time on 2nd line #14599LynneMemberI found it – list.php
February 2, 2012 at 2:08 pm in reply to: Change date format to remove year and put date on one line and time on 2nd line #14597LynneMemberIt seems that the single.php file is for the display when you are viewing one event at a time. I’ve been able to alter that display, but I’m also hoping to edit that right data display for the full list view (before you click to open a single event), as in this page:
http://206.130.110.176/conference/calendar/2012-04-18/Is this also in single.php or is this in another file?
LynneMemberWhere would I put the custom field function to get it to show up in that condensed list view? This is what Jonah mentioned using this below, but I’m not sure what file, etc. to use it in.
$custom_field = tribe_the_custom_fields(‘FieldLabel’);
LynneMemberOption to display one week only in the calendar view.
January 31, 2012 at 6:13 am in reply to: Change date format to remove year and put date on one line and time on 2nd line #14420LynneMemberThis is not a WP date settings issue; I’m referring to the display on this page where it says the Start and End date:
http://206.130.110.176/conference/event/value-chain/Start:
April 18, 2012 3:45 pmEnd:
April 18, 2012 5:15 pmIs it possible instead to say:
“Date: April 18”
“Time: 3:45 to 5:15 pm”Which php file should I modify to alter that display?
LynneMemberIt is showing up in the expanded view of the entry, but not in the condensed view on the first screen.
http://206.130.110.176/conference/calendar/category/smallbusiness/upcoming/
Click on second item “Understanding where you are in the value chain” to get:
http://206.130.110.176/conference/event/value-chain/How do you specify that you want the custom field (Room) and the category (Small Business) in the condensed view?
January 28, 2012 at 9:29 am in reply to: Limit event description number of characters in List View #14314LynneMemberAwesome, thank you so much. This worked!
LynneMemberA few suggestions:
— A calendar Week view
— more control over what is displayed in that sidebar in the list view. I would like to have the category as well as a custom field displayed here, and I’d like to just have the date and time range all on one line: ie April 19, 2 to 3pm.
— a way to display events that are going on at the same time, so if five events are occurring from 2-3pm, users can choose which to go to.
