ParticipantThanks, that fixed the issue.

ParticipantWhat helped was fixing the body tag problem. Apparently the styles were not getting applied correctly.

ParticipantBoth are set correctly, Chicago time zone and 12 AM event cut-off.
Also, as I mentioned, the sidebar widget displayed the current day as February 28. It was only the main calendar (on the same page) that came up as March instead of February. A couple hours earlier that same day it was all correct.March 1, 2014 at 5:05 am in reply to: Mini Calendar Widget links not working after upgrade to 3.4.1 #111081tammylfinch
ParticipantI found the forum post. https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/calendar-widget-issue/
It sounds like a number of folks are having the same problem.

ParticipantI haven”t been able to find it again on this forum, but check this page from WordPress. http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/register_sidebar
The important items are before_widget and after_widget. be sure your theme is using the strange looking ID and class references.

ParticipantFixing the body class declaration fixed the main calendar, but not the widget. To fix the widget, I had correct the sidebar registration in functions.php to conform to WordPress standards for before-widget and after-widget. The instructions are in another thread on this forum.

ParticipantThese times are with the W3 Total Cache enabled. I did turn off page caching since it was latching on to old pages and not updating. Database and object caching was turned on. I’ve also disabled all non-essential plug-ins.
My goal is to get the main Events page down to 1 second or less Time to First Byte. Currently, even with the default max 3 events per day, we have a ways to go. I’ve done enough testing to validate that the Events Calendar creates a significant TTFB delay. We are continuing to add events to the calendar, so I expect the challenge to become greater with time.

ParticipantReverting back is not a good option for me. I did find the <body> tag fix for the main calendar month-to-month navigation, so at least that’s working. My other alternative is to simply drop the widget until there’s a fix.

ParticipantOops – I take back my claim about it working in Chrome. We’ve also had problems with the W3 Total Cache latching on to old pages, and this was one of those instances. Once I forced the cache to clear, I loaded the current page and it no longer works.

ParticipantI patched the problem by overriding the style in a tribe-events-pro.css stylesheet, but I don’t see that as a good, long term solution. I’d like to understand the default “full” styles. What should the calendar look like?

ParticipantI have the same problem (artspartners.net) and really need a fix other than going backwards on versions. The widget does work in Chrome, but not Firefox or IE (all current versions).

ParticipantYes that helps a ton. Thank you for the fantastic support and time. I do appreciate you! This is why your calendar is the best! Have a great day.

ParticipantHi Barry, thank you for the quick response. I use Wiretree VPS for this site. We are only using 15% of the space and the RAM supposedly is pretty strong. I did request them to use the option to show just a few events but they say “it’s only text in a table”. I use event calendar pro and the free on many other sites but they do not have the events that this company does. Do you think it’s a hosting issue? Here is what I have.
