ParticipantGot the white font to work by moving the Tribe theme CSS above it.

ParticipantYes, I know I have two comment boxes. I have another thread for that and Neil is trying to figure it out. I noticed that someone else in a different thread also has two comment boxes. Perhaps others do also–they just don’t scroll down far enough.

ParticipantI tried adding .tribe-events-button to the a links for green that took out the green. I tried adding the buttons’ div class tribe-events-cal-links but that also took out the green.

ParticipantOoo–even more interesting. I clicked on the Google button by accident and got (I’m in the Firefox browser):
Google
414. That’s an error.
The requested URL /… is too large to process. That’s all we know.I’ll start a new thread about that one!

ParticipantIt is mostly working. Gotta figure out why the green buttons on the event description page don’t have the white font color like the first page does.

ParticipantThanks. That is better than what I was going to try to do. I’ll give it a whirl.

ParticipantThese are both uncustomized Events Calendar files and they both use class=”tribe-events-ical tribe-events-button” for the iCal button so I don’t understand why they aren’t both using the CSS style in themes/mytheme/tribe-events/tribe-events.css. The Tribe classes are supposed to be overridden by the tribe-events.css

ParticipantInteresting, the source code for your first page says you are using a left sidebar template for your page but it is giving you room for a right sidebar. Do you have get_sidebar in your page.php file?
I have the same problem you do in the second part of your problem. Best to write these as two separate problems.

ParticipantAdditional info.: I noticed a new post at https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/fullwidth-template-problem-2/ that talks about two different problems. The second part is that he also has a second comment form on his event description page.

ParticipantNeil,
The only customized Events file I am using is the single-day.php override file that Barry created to answer the post https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/webmaster-tools-flooded-with-404s/ (see the checked Answer in that post). It is in the tribe-events folder in the first zip I sent you along with the tribe-events.css file.Cynthia Lockley

ParticipantThat sounds great and I’d love to send you a zip but there is something wrong with the file server today and I can’t get to the file list. The server keeps timing out. I guess this will have to wait until Monday.

ParticipantI’ve been trying out different things trying to get back to where things were on the 22nd. What fixed it then was removing the get_sidebar from the page.php template. Then all the events pages were fixed–did not have a sidebar as you designed it–but there was still a mysterious extra comment form on the event description page. My regular post pages still had the sidebar, which is what I want them to have. I have a function that makes room for the sidebar on my other theme pages.
Something in the Events Calendar update 3.0.3 / 3.0.4 seems to now be overriding my function to include a sidebar and isn’t allowing the extra room to let the sidebar come to the top of the page for my regular posts–the sidebar is there but it is now dropped below the content.
So I guess what I need is a new function that ignores the events calendar takeover of the other templates and allows my regular post pages to have their own layout. My function that used to work for the single and page templates is at http://snippi.com/s/o8p0i7cCynthia Lockley
ParticipantThe problems came back after I updated to 3.0.2 and 3.0.4. It must be in one or more templates either in my child theme or in the update.
