ParticipantI have resolved this issue by finding a plugin conflict. The conflicting plugin is Envira Gallery – Defaults Addon, Version 1.3.1, published by Envira Gallery Team at https://enviragallery.com.
When the Envira Gallery – Defaults Addon is active, it prevents The Events Calendar Pro from displaying the date box for the ending date of a recurring series of events, meaning that no recurring entries can be entered.
I seldom use Envira Gallery, so I can do without the defaults add-on, but I would appreciate your working with the Envira team to resolve the conflict if possible.

ParticipantIn regard to my previous message saying that I fixed the issue by
deactivating and then re-activating the Connections Business Directory
plugin, I reached out to the developer of Connections. His response follows.
He thinks there may be a bug in Events Calendar PRO that is causing the
permalinks rules not to be reset.Steven Zahm wrote: @ Steve Does this occur intermittently? Or is it
permanently fix by toggling activation of Connections? The only thing that
happens when activating/deactivating Connections is that it tells WordPress
to update the permalinks rules. On activation the Connections rules are
added and the opposite on deactivation. WordPress refreshes it permalinks
rules simply by visiting the Settings Permalinks admin page. No changes need
to be made, simply navigating to the page is sufficient to trigger WordPress
to refresh the rules. The next time this happens can you try visiting the
Permalinks page and see if that fixes it too. If it does, then I would say
it is a bug with EC Pro and not a conflict with Connections. Toggling the
activation of Connections just happens to fix the issue. Hope this helps!
Please let me know what you learn. Post Link:

ParticipantI have resolved this problem. I started deactivating plugins one-by-one. The
problem disappeared when I deactivated the Connections Business Directory
plugin.Curiously, when I re-activated Connections Business Directory, the Events
Calendar PRO issue was still resolved, which is good because we rely heavily
on both plugins. Can you work with the author of Connections Business Directory to resolve
the issue for the future?December 28, 2017 at 6:25 am in reply to: After PRO update, clicking an event results in "page not found" #1413814sscott201
ParticipantHi, and thanks for your response.
I am pretty certain the problem has nothing to do with plugin or theme
conflicts. Calendar links for non-recurring events are working properly.Calendar links for recurring events generate a “page not found” error. As an
example, when clicking a link for a recurring event, here is the URL that
generates a “page not found” error:https://uuchurch.net/event/mindfulness-meditation-3-2017-09-10/2017-12-31/
When I go in to edit this particular event in the recurring series, what I
see is that the permalink now reads:https://uuchurch.net/event/mindfulness-meditation-3-2017-09-10/2017-09-10/
So it appears that when PRO was updated using the procedure I described
previously, the last part of all the permalinks for recurring events got
changed to the date the recurring series was originally input into the
system instead of the actual date of the event. The question now is, is there any way to fix this problem short of
re-entering all recurring events?sscott201
ParticipantWhat worked was:
- Deactivate and delete prior version of PRO.
- Download current version to my computer from your site.
- Install current version through upload function on plugins dashboard
page.

ParticipantInstalled 4.1.3. Events are now showing in correct time order on month view. Thanks!

ParticipantFollowing your suggestion, I solved the problem as follows:
Of course, with a multisite, you can only install plugins at the network level, but they can then be activated for only specific sites as desired. In my case, I had only activated EV and EV Pro on the main site and not on any of the three sub-sites. Since I did not network activate EV and EV Pro, there was no settings menu for them at the network level. So I deactivated EV and EV Pro on the main site and then network activated them. When I did so, I was able to access an EV settings screen at the network level that let me enter and validate my license key.
Being the suspicious sort, I’ll probably leave EV and EV Pro network activated so I can be sure to receive updates, although it runs contrary to my general practice of only running plugins on any given site that are absolutely needed by that site.
Anyway, thanks much for the help in resolving the issue. I’m wondering if your programmers might consider addressing this issue in a later update so that EV Pro does not have to be network activated on a multisite in order for it to run and be updated on one or more of the sites within the multisite.

ParticipantI was able to download and install EV Pro from the download link in my account.
However, the place where the license key should be entered is still not showing up on the settings page. I gather there should be a separate tab for that, but no such tab is visible.
Here’s the “System Information” from the panel at the bottom of the Help tab on the Settings page:
